Sorry got to give it to Laura Palmer who was the Xmas jumper lead for us. But good effort Cameron Davies for getting involved unlike some who may have forgotten (cough me )

Happy Monday and it is Stories By The Sea time.
One of the best promos ever made for Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois fight. You just can’t skip this kind of campaigns by Guy Ritchie.
He is bringing the Wembley level pro fighting to the street illegal environment.

While you are interested in how to write the same story and sell it,
I have come up with a bit of reverse engineering exercise that might help train your story pitching.
It’s simple as this:
🟢 take stills;
🟢 have your characters developed;
🟢 the way you present it is look and feel of the project;
🟢 get the proper music, it is the heart and soul;
🟢 always offer the attitude to life through your story.
fight!

Planning a festival for families with special needs isn’t a walk in the park. It’s more like a marathon with hurdles, on a tightrope, wearing crocs, over a body of water, blindfolded.
Some days, I feel like the ringmaster of a circus.
- Balancing everything between needs and entertainment.
- Juggling a million tasks while smiling and pretending nothing’s on fire.
- Wrestling with the budget to make sure everyone gets a piece of the pie.
- Taming the wild beast of last-minute changes and surprises.
- Trying to see the future and the success of funding bids
- jumping through hoops to obtain the necessary paperwork
- clowning around on socials to keep everyone interested and happy
But when it all comes together, and you see the smiles on those faces, you know it’s worth every sleepless night.
Any festival or big event organisers out there? How do you keep your sanity?

A couple of weeks ago I was interviewed for a podcast regarding the work we do at Cambridge Sports Development Foundation, helping students and building rugby within the Cambridge Community.
(I have put the link for here again).
One of my big passions (along with travel) is to help build the game and the experience of Rugby within communities and help Rugby Clubs establish a strong foothold, building a foundation, that can see them really establish something unique and worthwhile with their facilities and network/relationships that they have in their own surroundings.
Personally, I don't feel enough is done on this within the game. Obviously the main focus of a rugby club is their rugby teams and members, but there is so much more that can be done.
Since the podcast went live I have had a few email conversations and Teams meetings with individuals that are interested to learn more.
They are keen to learn about what we have done, and how they can adapt this to their own Rugby Club and area.
How does it work financially?
Is it viable?
How does it work?
What are the steps?
What do you need?
What are the benefits?
and so on............
My belief is that the majority of grassroot Rugby Clubs, would be able to put something similar to what we have done at Cambridge Rugby Club into their own Club, and really benefit from the opportunity in a number of ways.
Some are already out there doing great work, and this post is focussed on those hat want to help, but just don't know how to get started.
If you are involved with a local rugby club and would like to arrange a chat/conversation on what we do, and to see if this is something that can be installed to your local club, then feel free to get in touch - drop me a DM through LinkedIn, and I will get back to you.
Alternatively look Cambridge Rugby Club up online and my contact details are on the website.
I appreciate this isn't for everyone, and I know how busy Volunteers/Committee Members are at local clubs - but one conversation could mean a change for the better for one young person.
Wouldn't that be awesome?
