In my view, contracts are opportunities for win-win outcomes. While I understand certain areas are non-negotiable, there should be room to explore areas where there might be flexibility.

#FunFact: I was in Hotel Sales for over 13 years! Let’s help our hotel sales partners by submitting complete RFPs!! 🙌🏼 🤔 How can you do that?? ✅ Include all alternate dates being considered ✅ Share if your pattern is flexible (the more flexible the better and the more responses you will get) ✅ Include contract signature location (RFPs are often assigned this way) ✅ Include your top concession wishlist ✅ Include must have contract clause requests (Resell on Attrition, Cancellation by Hotel, etc.) ✅ Include top, need-to-know questions (Don’t input 100 questions - get your short list going the dive into the finer details) ✅ Clearly outline site and final decision timelines ✅ Include target rate, F&B budget, and AV budget ✅ Include a complete Schedule of Events (Include if room sets and timing are flexible - let the hotel work with you to make it happen w/ what they have available!!!) ✅ Include history ✅ Denote call-in/weblink or rooming list (Revenue Managers do consider housing method when reviewing RFPs!) ➡️ What else would you add?! I used to sit in daily booking review meetings and weekly revenue meetings. I KNOW what it takes to get the best bids from hotels AND how to make it easy for our hotel sales partners. WIN/WIN!! 🙌🏼 #partnership #meetingbroker #eventprofs #meetingprofs

Hey fellow Hotel Sales Manager friends, here's a crucial tip to ensure your success in booking business! 🌟 Never and I mean NEVER turn down a lead immediately after the decision date has passed without any follow-up attempts. Following up is quintessentially vital to securing bookings and achieving your goals in sales. 📈 Lately, I've noticed a concerning trend with RFPs where leads are turned down without any follow-up... zero, zip, nada. Wild, right??!! When I see this reason for a turn down, I quickly shift my attention to sales managers of hotels who are actively engaging through emails and phone calls, and expressing a desire for business. Remember, picking up the phone can make a world of difference in building those essential connections and help gain a true understanding from both sides! 📞 To all Directors of Sales out there, if you encounter this issue with your sales managers, it might be time for a refresher on Sales 101 fundamentals. Let's make sure we are all maximizing our efforts to drive success in this competitive hotel industry. 💼 #HotelSales #SalesTips #HospitalityIndustry #BusinessDevelopment #FollowUpSkills #hpnglobal #meetingsmeanbusiness #humaninteraction #dotherightthing
