Half way through term 2 of my journey at University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, I’ve had the opportunity to immerse in a dynamic world where creativity meets strategy, and every challenge presents an opportunity to learn and grow 📚 From day one, WBS has been a hub of innovation, excellence, and endless opportunities. As a marketing student, the practical approach of our course curriculum ensures that we stay ahead in this dynamic field. The interactive workshops, the hands-on projects and case studies that mirror real industry scenarios, all foster a deep understanding of how marketing theory translates into action. Here are some of my key learnings- 🎯 Importance of Strategic Thinking to develop comprehensive marketing strategies that align with business objectives. 🤝 The effectiveness of Collaboration, working in teams to leverage diverse perspectives and achieve common goals. 🔄 The need of Adaptability, embracing change and staying agile in response to ever changing environment and market trends. 🌐 Developing a Global Perspective to gaining insights into international markets and cultures. 💬Unparalled power of Networking: Engaging with industry leaders, alumni, and fellow students has broadened my perspective and opened doors to exciting collaborations. This update is coming a little late, but I am thrilled to share that I have joined University of Leeds for MSc Management at Leeds University Business School, 2024- 2025 cohort. It has been an incredible month in Leeds, and every single day here feels like a new life lesson. Pursuing a master’s degree has been a long-held dream of mine, especially as I have been seeking quality work experience and learning opportunities. After questioning whether I was doing enough in my previous jobs, I knew it was time to take a bold leap forward in my career and this feels like the right step. With the semester starting strong, I have been diving into a steep learning curve, not just academically but also personally. From the events, workshops, and society fairs that have helped me settle in, to meeting flatmates who already feel like home, I am finding a sense of belonging already. Of course, life here isn’t without its challenges. As an international student, there are difficult moments but one thing I have learned over the past month is that— "This too shall pass". MY GRADUATION SPEECH I WROTE ON THE 10TH OF JANUARY, 2024 BUT NEVER HAD THE CHANCE READ OUT: Fellow Graduants, It is with great joy I make this Speech today, as we, yet again, celebrate another accolade addition to our Educational Certifications. It was indeed a 1 Year Marathon Educational Race that we will never forget. However, I need you all to keep this in mind, that as we step out of this ceremonial door, THE LAW OF TIME AND CHANCE will happen to us all. Some of us will get the ground running immediately by getting a good job, some of us won’t. Some of us might be delayed before getting something to do, but which ever the case, which ever category you fall under, always remember, it is a phase that will pass just as we have successfully finished this phase. My advice to you, enjoy every phase you find yourself, making the best out of it, learn all that you can, keeping in mind, that all that you learn today, will be needed in the next phase tomorrow; for no knowledge is a waste. Always be in remembrance that, IT IS TIME THAT GIVES CHANCE AN OPPORTUNITY. So, I employ you to Utilise your TIME well so that when the CHANCE present itself, you are more than ready to grab it. Lastly, I leave you with our University of Hertfordshire (Which is now Our Alma Mater) Motto which states: “Quaere scientiam tota vita” Which simply means: “Seek Knowledge Throughout Life.” Don’t Forget, “Every Finished Line is a Beginning of a New Race.” DON’T STOP LEARNING. [Part 1/3] Reflections on My Time at Imperial College London: What I’d Do Again and What I’d Do Differently. My year at Imperial College London was one of the most transformative periods of my life. While I made some incredible decisions that enriched my experience, there are also things I’d approach differently if given a second chance. Here’s my honest take: 🎯 The Best Decisions I Made 1️⃣ Spending Time on Campus   I made it a point to be on campus as much as possible. This helped me engage deeply with all the opportunities Imperial had to offer. From spontaneous networking moments to just soaking in the campus vibe, being present enriched my experience beyond measure.   👉 Takeaway: The more time you invest in your environment, the more it gives back. 2️⃣ Taking the Family Business Elective   One of the standout decisions I made was taking the Family Business Elective, a course that I believe every person connected to a family-run business should experience. Taught by Professor Peter Leach, a pioneer in family business thinking, the course wasn’t just about learning theory—it was about engaging with real-world challenges and solutions in family businesses. The interactive nature of the class pushed me to think beyond textbook concepts and challenged my perceptions. Professor Leach’s insights and the class discussions truly shaped my understanding of family dynamics in business, something I’ll carry with me for a lifetime. 👉 Takeaway: If you have a family business, this course is a must for deep, transformative learning. 3️⃣ Attending Every Lecture   Skipping a lecture might save an hour of sleep, but being present gives you something invaluable—a deeper understanding of the subject, exposure to professors' perspectives, and an experience that’s irreplaceable.   👉 Takeaway: You’ve invested heavily in your education—make every lecture count. 4️⃣ Applying Early for Jobs   Most UK companies are actively hiring between September and November.
