When you monitor the business world it is currently evident that Logistics companies have a dilemma either they change, or they will disappear as more and more people and enterprises require deliveries that are quicker and more affordable. I realized that the fascinating future of Logistics and Supply Chain Management is being shaped by this conflict between consumer expectations and technology. Currently there are Emerging technological trends shaping Logistics and Supply Chain Management namely : ✔ AI led automation in warehousing and customer service. ✔Blockchain technology in Logistics operations. ✔ Cloud logistics technology in supply chain. ·✔ Internet of Things (IoT) technology adoption. ·✔ Digital twins and innovative logistics systems. ✔ Robotics. Another trend is the focus on sustainability , with an increase in environmental awareness , now days many organizations are addressing and examining sustainability as a strategic concern of great importance for long term success of companies. Businesses require sustainability because it enables them to recognize and address a variety of external concerns, including social and environmental issues. I can name one example , one of the most urgent global concerns facing this generation is climate change.
