Many leaders think QA engineers are redundant and they don't want to have QA in the organization. This works within the boundary of a single service but not when you have multiple services owned by a different team. This is not a trivial work that you can ask developers to do along with functional/feature task. So yes, you can have a development team without QA but after a certain complexity level of application you will always need a centralized QA team. #QA #Testing

A QA tester needs to be sharp-minded because the role involves identifying subtle issues in complex systems and ensuring that software performs as expected under various conditions. Here are a few reasons why sharp-mindedness is essential: 1. Attention to Detail Small errors or bugs in code can lead to significant problems. A sharp-minded QA tester can spot these tiny issues that may be overlooked by others. 2. Critical Thinking QA testers need to think critically about how users might interact with the software, foreseeing potential problems and testing for edge cases. 3. Problem-Solving Skills When bugs are found, a tester must be able to investigate the root cause and suggest possible fixes. This often requires logical reasoning and an analytical approach. 4. Adaptability Software environments can change frequently, and testers must stay up-to-date with new features, requirements, or technologies. 5. Communication A sharp mind ensures clear communication with developers and stakeholders, explaining issues concisely and suggesting improvements. Being sharp-minded helps QA testers deliver high-quality software, reducing the risk of defects making it to production. #qa #sqa #tester

The Market Demand for QA Engineers Who Can Do Both: SQA + Security Here’s an emerging trend that’s worth paying attention to: companies are increasingly looking for QA engineers who can handle both software quality assurance and security testing. As digital systems become more complex, having someone who understands both functionality and security is a huge advantage. Why the shift? 1️⃣ Security issues are often discovered during functional testing. 2️⃣ Combining SQA and security expertise reduces the need for separate roles. 3️⃣ QA professionals with security knowledge are better equipped to prevent vulnerabilities during the testing process. If you’re looking to stay competitive in the job market, developing a hybrid skill set in both QA and security testing can give you an edge. It’s a trend that’s only going to grow. #SQA #SecurityTesting #HybridSkills #MarketTrends #CareerDevelopment
