The New Drug in the Town - Motivation I recently wrote a post on my Annual Report sharing some health-related metrics that I track. Several people loved the post, wrote comments that it’s motivating, inspiring, powerful, true etc… BUT – How many of those people actually did bring a change in their daily life. Probably NONE. This is exactly how Motivation works. It feels good, it reinforces a thought, it provoked but then it dies. You then watch one more video, webinar, read a bestseller, and then the spark comes alive but the same processes repeats again. Just look around and observe what’s happening post covid. The rise of Motivational Talks, Gurus, Books and corporate events where celebrities are called to inspire teams. It feels great for some moment and then back to pavilion. No matter how much spark you get from outside sources, it’s helpful only if you carry fuel inside your system. The problem is you are carrying a water tank and seeking sparks from outside, and it will never work. I usually don’t like being called a Motivational Speaker. I live every single word that I speak and if you are there to only listen to me, it’s a waste of time and money. Nothing succeeds more than Action. जो ध्यानी है, वही ज्ञानी है। सोच गहरी हो जाए तो, फैसले कमजोर हो जाते है।

You know what’s super unhelpful? When other people tell you to not care what other people think of you. Of course you care, you're human, right?! It's natural to worry about how you're perceived. But the most effective people don’t dwell on it - they influence their own narrative instead. They embrace the idea that you can shape perceptions of you AND stay true to yourself. Nurturing your connections, communicating authentically and being generous with others goes a long way to doing that. Remember, it’s not about pleasing everyone, but guiding perceptions of you so they align with your who you want to be. 👉 So, if you want to be seen as a expert - guide the conversation and lead. 👉 If you want people to see you as warm and empathetic, ask them questions and be interested. Too many people leave this stuff to chance. But if you do you’re wasting your power! Change your mind. Change your life. Give me a follow for more mindset goodness.

Emotional Intelligence at work is a superpower. 9 simple ways to display it: 1️⃣ Remember personal details, not just deadlines ↳ It says: "You're more than your work to me" 2️⃣ Offer help before they ask ↳ It shows: You notice. You care. 3️⃣ Give credit like it's free ↳ Because it is. And it pays back. 4️⃣ Listen. Really listen. ↳ No interrupting. No planning your reply. 5️⃣ Follow up on past talks ↳ "How did that [issue/project] go?" goes a long way 6️⃣ Share what you know ↳ Your knowledge isn't a threat. It's a gift. 7️⃣ Ask for their input ↳ Even if you don't need it. Especially then. 8️⃣ Own your mistakes fast ↳ It's not weak. It's brave. 9️⃣ Celebrate small wins ↳ Because big wins are made of small ones Remember: People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. Because in the end, work is about people. And people thrive on care. Agree? ↳ Repost to inspire others ♻️ ↳ Follow Mido Atef for more Emotional Intelligence insights 🤝

It's 9PM in Dubai, and I'm posting on LinkedIn. Because of this video. I committed to posting on LinkedIn every day, sharing my entrepreneurial journey, my thoughts, and knowledge on sustainability, conscious education, conscious parenting, and conscious leadership. And today was one of those days: "I cannot be bothered." "I have no inspiration today." Motivation is fleeting; it comes and goes. But it's consistency, especially when you can't be bothered, that makes the difference. How to master the power of consistency: 1. Show up, no matter what Even if you don't feel like it, take the smallest action. It's the habit of showing up that builds long-term results. 2. Create a routine that works for you Routines are what your mind and body will eventually rely on. A daily rhythm will keep you on track. 3. Be like a toddler – focus on the process, not the outcome This might be cliché, but it's really about the process. Like toddlers, approach everything with curiosity and enjoy the dopamine hit when you ask yourself, "What if I show up today, even if I can't be bothered?" 4. Celebrate the small wins The compound effect of showing up will result in small wins. I'm celebrating mine today. What are your ways of mastering consistency? 🔁Repost to inspire, even if it's the weekend. ➕Follow Ivana Brnovic Ogbu for more on "raising consciousness." JOY Spark Empathy How can cultivating empathy deepen your understanding of others? Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another, creating a profound connection that transcends words. By stepping into someone else’s shoes, we enrich our own lives with compassion and understanding. Empathy fosters a sense of community and belonging, reminding us that we are all part of a larger human experience. Reflective Thought: “Empathy allows me to see the world through another’s eyes, deepening our connection.” Practice active listening in your conversations today. Focus entirely on the speaker without planning your response. Reflect back on what you hear and ask questions to deepen your understanding of their feelings and experiences. Affirmation: “I choose to approach each interaction with empathy, fostering deeper connections and understanding.” Blessings, Dr. Delphina JOYce Avila JOY Journey Options YouChoose

The summary i here! Do you know the difference between personal development and personal evolution? The event with The Weird Ons distinguishes personal development as skill-building and goal achievement, while personal evolution focuses on authenticity and deeper transformation. It emphasizes the importance of creativity, breaking free from societal norms, and shifting from external to internal motivation. The discussion highlights that personal evolution is a collective mission that fosters authenticity and purpose, encouraging individuals to embrace their true selves and inspire others. We missed our facilitator, Sheina DaPonte, Certified Life Coach, LMT, who is prioritizing her weirdling at home, but Jeffrey J. Delwiche, M.S. did an excellent job, as usual, in maintaining the flow among our remarkable speakers. Anthony Austin Brian Castleforte Christopher Freeman Jessica J. Please answer one of the questions that is easy for you to respond to. ↪ What does personal evolution mean to you? ↪ How have you experienced the shift from external to internal motivation in your journey? ↪ In what ways can we collectively foster a world that celebrates authenticity, creativity, and purpose-driven living? ↪ What steps can you take today to embrace your authentic self? ↪ What are your thoughts on breaking free from societal norms? . . . #TheWeirdOnes #PersonalEvolution #TheWebOfWeird

On a Saturday evening about eight years ago, I finished a speaker training workshop I'd run and had a number of people come up to me afterwards, thank me, share how much they had benefited from a leadership piece I did at an event the previous year and tell me how much they admired me. AND . . . I had other people come up and share how INTIMIDATED they'd been by me. ME? Whaaaaaaat? I was shocked. I had spent decades feeling intimidated by successful people. I'd spent most of my life feeling like jelly on the inside. How was it possible people could feel intimidated by ME? So I asked them. Turns out they'd done with me what I'd been doing with others for all those years: creating a story in my mind about how much more advanced/successful/confident/happy they were than me and how I could never be as advanced/successful/confident/happy as them. This is something called PROJECTION, where we literally project our ideas of emotions, qualities, experiences and thoughts into another person and assume they have them. Often, this has NOTHING to do with THEM and EVERYTHING to do with US. But here's the weird thing - we usually don't know we're doing it and we are SURE we are right. Even some of the most successful people do this: Olympic medallists, business titans, Academy Award-winning actors . . . . the list goes on. The cure for this is twofold. One: whatever that person has or does that you hold up high - see that you have the same potential and go develop it. Two: without attachment, see if there are opportunities to connect and get to know that person in tiny moments without being weird or forcing connection. Don't take anything personally, just let the moments unfold. This is how I've come to connect with some of the people I admire most. I realised that Saturday evening how subtly I'd grown over the past years, how much stronger and more confident I was and how much clearer I was about who I am and what I'm here to contribute. I still have wobbly days - don’t get me wrong. I still struggle with stuff and am learning how to move through it with higher degrees of ease. I have invested a lot of time and effort in my own growth and am so grateful I get to do that. I will always be doing it. At the risk of sounding trite, I believe we can all grow into someone we love, respect and admire. It's a matter of deciding to take and continue that journey.
