I’m reading the book “Unreasonable Hospitality” by William Guidara, and it’s challenging me to rethink how we can better serve our “guests” in the public sector while taking better care of our team members so that they can deliver exceptional service! Answer? Through the lens of hospitality. Coming from a hospitality background where the focus was guest satisfaction and pure enjoyment in exceeding expectations, it’s almost a paradigm shift for the public sector to think in this manner where red tape, slow service, and outdated processes can be the norm.
