Scaling Meta Ads in 2025: Lessons from Experience 🚀 Scaling ad accounts isn’t just about increasing budgets—it’s about strategy, testing, and adaptability. For one of our clients, we aimed to scale their Meta ad spend from $500 to $10,000 monthly. Initially, we took the traditional approach: incremental budget increases with limited ads. But as the spend grew, performance became unstable—CPCs spiked, CTRs dipped, and ROAS fluctuated. What changed? We tested with a high volume of ads. By introducing diverse creatives and multiple ad sets to support incremental spends, the account stabilized. Performance improved as Meta’s algorithm had more to work with, ensuring smoother scaling. Complicating meta ads is the easiest thing to do it takes tons of tests and trials & thousands of dollars and spent to learn a winning strategy. And I am sharing it all with you! After running ads for 8 years, I now use the 1-3-6 ratio. This means that inside one campaign, I test three different ad sets. And inside every single ad set, I test six ad creatives. Creatives could be a video, a graphic, or a carousel and this is simple. This works really well! Simplicity scales, complexity fails! You don't need to complicate meta ads at all. And this is the reason why our ads are making 15x to 20x ROAS return on ad spend every single month. Remember every couple of weeks you want to update your creatives so that you're keeping it fresh and not exhausting your audience by having the same ads from you getting shown again and again. Ad Thumbnails - the most underated ad variable? 🖼️ Are you even paying attention to the thumbnail you are using in your Meta ads? Or are you just letting Meta pick? 🙈 In my experience it can make a huge difference to CTR and hook rate and hence impacts your CAC or ROAS! 🚀 Here is what is working for the accounts I have access to: ✅Show the most relevant and emotive frame. ✅Hit them with the problem, the solution, or a close up of your product. ✅Make it resonate and make it relevant. How? After you upload a video in Meta Ads Manager, Meta will default to dynamically choosing up to three thumbnail images from the video and deliver the best one to people. Instead, do this: 1. Upload your own thumbnail image. 2. Select a frame from the video directly in Ads Manager to act as the thumbnail image. Have some fun, run some tests and see what works.
