[PRAKTIKUM DASAR SISTEM KONTROL] In the basic control system practicum, there are several experiments carried out. Experiment 2 is Electro - Pneumatic Control, which will be divided into five sub-experiments, namely: Direct and Indirect Control, Direct and Indirect Contol Using Logic Circuit, Indirect Control of Single Acting Cylinder, Direct Control of Single Acting Cylinder Using Relay Control, Application of Electro - Pneumatic. From the experiment, we can conclude that In experiment 1, NO valve when it released then the cylinder will extend and vise verse, NC is the opposite of NO. In experiment 2, “AND" circuit will need both NO and NC in active condition to turn on the output. While "OR" circuit only needed one or more NO and NC in active condition to turn on the output. In experiment 3, we know we can use roler lever to act as a switch that controlled by the output of pneumatic cylinder. In experiment 4, "OR" circuit when one of the button is depress then all the LED is turned on, the cylinder extend. While "AND" needs both button depressed. In experiment 5, we use a 3/2 way valve in single acting cylinder because its only requires one air flow input, but in double acting cylinder we use 5/2 way valve because its requires two air flow input. In this practicum, we were given guidance and direction from Mas Adam Rabbani as a laboratory assistant from the ITS Control System #PraktikumDSKGenap2023 #CSEbersatuElektroITSmaju

Professional Experience XXVII The electronic devices and computers we use in the laboratory may sometimes have simple technical problems. Connection cables or electrical connections may have come out of place. Naturally, you have to report this to the technical team. When this happens to you, your priority is to check that the cables are plugged in and in the correct position. It is not a good experience to call the technical team because the computer does not turn on without plugging in the power cable :) IT and Electrical technical team are the ones who suffer the most from this situation. #HPLC #GC #AAS #ICP #Internship #Intern #information #University #School #Technical #Life #drug #quality assurance #qualitycontrol #Education #Chemistry #Chemistry #Pharmacy #Drug #Experience #Biology #Molecularchemistry

Transmitters, Indicators, Controllers and Guage Hi there 👋 it's another episode of my series, it's a series of my internship experience incase you are seeing my post for the first time. For the plant process to be adequately controlled by the process engineer, the process variable of interest (e.g. Temperature, Pressure or Flow) needs to be measured by a sensor and the measurement is converted into a suitable signal format and then transmits it to a controller which makes the control decision and finally acts on a final control element in the control loop. Transmitters convert the signal produced by a sensor into a standardized instrumentation signal which is conveyed to an indicating device, a controlling device, or both. The transmitter often combines a sensor and the transmitter in a single piece. Indicators provide value indication in processes; they are essential for monitoring and controlling various parameters in industrial operations. Controllers are the final element that are being controlled, Controllers manage and regulate processes based on input from instruments like transmitters, ensuring safe and efficient plant operation Controllers are normally tuned in certain percentages; the combination of Proportional, Integral and Derivative parameters to achieve an effective control of the final element. Gauges are instruments in the plant that show the direct readings of the process parameters in the plant. Unlike most Guages, some are filled with glycerine which acts as a vibration absorber. These types of Guages are used in skids that are mostly vibrating like a piston compressor skid. #et's_Process_Series_15 #GasProcessing #InternshipExperience #EnergyIndustry #CareerGrowthh

An insightful week during The Classic Control course offered by EGT Academy at Ain ElSokhna as part of The Best in Class 2024 internship at Siemens where we made a simple control circuit of start-stop of 3-phase induction motor (squirrel cage) while being connected in delta-connection. Before testing the circuit during operation, some safety measurements where taken into account like checking the isolation between each of the motor’s stator coils and checking the Earthing of the motor casing. The three most common starting methods of the induction motor occurs as following: first of which is star-delta connection which involves a timer and three contactors to switch from the star to delta connection to reduce the high starting current but has a disadvantage of reducing the starting torque. The second method involves using a soft starter which contains 3 back to back thyristors where the firing angle of the thyrsistors are being decreased during operation until ramping up occurs of the motor. The third method is by using an electric drive which involves rectification of the three phase supply using 6 thyristors and then an inverter using 6 IGBTs and then control techniques ( Vector Control with PID, Sliding Mode Control, Model Predictive Control,… etc). The advantage of using an electric drive is that it ensures soft-starting of the induction motor while also controling the operating speed and torque as a result of the intersection between the motor curve and the load curve. #Siemens #Classic_Control #ElectricDrives #Electric_Motors #Power_Electronics #Electrical_Engineering #Mechatronics_Engineering #Best_in_Class_2024

Hello!! Today workshop session about star Delta starter A star-delta starter is a method used to start electric motors. It involves initially connecting the stator windings of the motor in a star configuration (lower voltage, higher current) to reduce the starting current drawn from the power supply. Once the motor reaches a certain speed, typically around 80% of its full speed, the windings are then switched to a delta configuration (higher voltage, lower current) for normal operation. This starter method is beneficial for reducing the high starting current demand on the electrical supply system, which can be advantageous in situations where large motors are used, such as in industrial applications. The operation of a star-delta starter involves several key steps to safely start and run a three-phase induction motor: 1. Starting in Star Configuration: ✔️ Initially, the motor windings are connected in a star (Y) configuration. This is achieved by connecting three windings together at a common point (star point) and connecting the other ends to the power supply lines. ✔️In this configuration, each winding receives a reduced voltage (typically 1/√3 times the line voltage) but higher current. 2. Starting Sequence: ✔️The motor is started in this star configuration to reduce the starting current drawn from the supply. This is crucial to prevent voltage dips and potential damage to other equipment on the same electrical network. 3. Running in Delta Configuration: ✔️After a predetermined time or when the motor reaches a certain speed (usually around 80% of full speed), the windings are then switched to a delta (Δ) configuration. ✔️In delta configuration, the windings are connected in series across the power lines, resulting in higher voltage across each winding but lower current. 4. Transition and Control: ✔️ The transition from star to delta configuration is typically controlled automatically by a timer or a motor control circuit. ✔️This switching is designed to be seamless to ensure smooth operation and to minimize mechanical and electrical stresses on the motor during startup. 5. Full Operation: ✔️Once the motor is running in delta configuration, it operates at its rated voltage and current values. ✔️The star-delta starter remains connected in delta until the motor is stopped. #starter #stardelta #training #internship
