𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀: 𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 Life isn’t always smooth sailing. We all face storms—moments when challenges seem insurmountable, and the weight of it all feels too heavy. But it is in these very moments that we discover our true strength. 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 plays a pivotal role in navigating through such times. It’s okay to not have everything figured out. It’s okay to feel vulnerable. What truly matters is recognizing these feelings and taking small, intentional steps toward resilience. Here are a few practices that have helped me (or can help anyone) during difficult times: - 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲: Acknowledge your feelings without judgment. - 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗢𝘂𝘁: Speak to someone—a friend, family member, or even a professional. You’re never alone. - 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲: Focus on what’s going right, even if it’s just one small thing. - 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀: Take it one day at a time, one step at a time. - 𝗕𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳:It’s a journey, not a race. Remember, every storm passes, and when it does, it leaves behind clear skies and lessons that make us stronger and more compassionate. Let’s normalize talking about mental health, not as a taboo but as an essential aspect of our well-being. How do you nurture your mental health during tough times? Share your tips in the comments. As we step into the New Year, let’s prioritize our mental well-being alongside our professional and personal goals. Here are five impactful resolutions that can help you create a healthier, more balanced mindset: 1️⃣ Prioritize Self-Care Without Guilt Taking care of yourself is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. Whether it’s scheduling breaks, practicing mindfulness, or simply saying no to overcommitments, self-care ensures you’re at your best. 2️⃣ Set Healthy Boundaries Boundaries protect your time, energy, and mental space. Learn to say no to things that drain you and yes to what truly matters. 3️⃣ Practice Gratitude Start or end each day by reflecting on things you’re grateful for. Gratitude rewires the brain to focus on the positives, even in challenging times. 4️⃣ Seek Help When Needed Therapy isn’t just for crises—it’s a tool for growth. Don’t hesitate to reach out for professional support or lean on trusted connections when life feels overwhelming. 5️⃣ Limit Toxic Influences Be intentional about what and who you surround yourself with. Unfollow accounts, limit interactions, or step away from environments that negatively affect your mental health. What are your mental health goals for the New Year? Let’s inspire and support each other. #MentalHealthMatters #NewYearResolutions #GrowthMindset #SelfCare #MentalWellbeing

Something to Think About on World Mental Health Day A person’s world is unique to them, and it’s important for us all to recognize this. High achievers, record breakers, and people who step out of their comfort zones are often admired. And that’s not a bad thing, but their worlds are shaped by their personal challenges; whether it’s working for a company, breaking records in a sport, becoming a local champion, or even exploring outer space. Their worlds are relative to their own challenges. Not everyone is made to be a hero in the traditional sense. There are equally skilled and important people who live in a different world. In their world, simply showing up to work and facing others can be as daunting as a champion reaching the top of their game. For some, the challenge of leaving the house, stepping out of their bedroom, or even just lifting their head from under the bedsheets takes as much courage as it does for business leaders to achieve their goals. So, next time you see someone who is quiet or considered a “non-achiever,” think, they may have moved mountains just to be there today. The difference is, they don’t just do this once… …they do it every day. Don’t pressure them to say hello; this may be a challenge for them too. Just smile and say hi. Do the same every day, and one day, they may say hi back. And when they do, remember that took courage too. People living with mental health challenges often display more courage than many realize. It’s all relative to the world inside their mind. So, smile, be kind, and remember; the smallest gestures can make a world of difference. Have a heartwarming day. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #WeLoveVideo #WeLovePeople #BeKind #Empathy #MentalHealthAwareness #Courage #Compassion #Mindfulness #BreakTheStigma #SupportMentalHealth #MentalHealthAtWork #MentalWellbeing #LinkedInCommunity

The #Power of #Pause In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to get swept away by the currents of obligations, responsibilities, and distractions. Amidst this whirlwind, our mental health often takes a backseat, silently bearing the weight of our stresses and anxieties. But what if we paused for just a moment to reflect on where we are and why we feel the way we do? Taking a pause is not just about momentarily halting our activities; it's about carving out intentional time to check in with ourselves, to understand our thoughts, feelings, and reactions. It's a conscious decision to prioritize our mental well-being alongside our physical health. In today's fast-paced world, pausing may seem like a luxury we can't afford, but the truth is, it's a necessity we can't afford to ignore. Here are a few ways incorporating regular pauses into your life can help you nurture your mental health: #Self-awareness, #StressReduction #EmotionalRegulation, #Mindfulness So, how can you incorporate pauses into your life? It doesn't have to be complicated or time-consuming. It can be as simple as taking a few deep breaths before starting a task, going for a short walk in nature, or spending a few minutes journaling before bed. The key is to find what works for you and make it a consistent practice. In a world that glorifies busyness and productivity, pausing may seem counterintuitive, but it's essential for our mental and emotional well-being. So, the next time you feel overwhelmed or on edge, remember the power of pause. Take a moment to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. Your mental health will thank you for it. #mentalhealth

4 things you can do RIGHT NOW to better your #mentalhealth 🤍 1. Set a 60-second timer and step away from whatever you're doing. In true NYC fashion, use this brief moment to reset. Stand up, stretch, and look out the window or up at the sky. This quick pause can help break the cycle of stress, ground you, and bring you back to the present moment. 2. Take 30 seconds to send a simple, no-pressure text to someone you care about. It could be as simple as "Hey, you crossed my mind. Hope you're doing well!" This small act of connection can boost both your mood and theirs, reinforcing social bonds that are crucial for mental health. 3. Rather than focusing on what needs to be accomplished, take a moment to write down everything you've already done today. This practice shifts your perspective to recognize your efforts and achievements, boosting self-esteem and reducing anxiety about unfinished tasks. 4. Take a moment to list one thing you're grateful for on each finger of one hand. This quick gratitude exercise shifts focus to the positives in your life, which can improve mood and perspective almost instantly. Were these tips helpful? Make sure to save or screenshot this post and revisit however often you need. Follow along for more 🌿 #worldmentalhealthday #mentalhealthtips #mentalhealthcare #selfcare #selflove #priorities #youtime #takeabreak #reset #breathe #presentmoment

Hello 2025! I wanted to kick off this year reminding all of us about the power of small habits, especially in a season where everyone is making their resolutions for a new year. January often comes with grand resolutions, but it's important to remember that small, consistent, sustainable habits can have the biggest impact on our mental wellness and beyond. Research shows that small, consistent actions can create a ripple effect, leading to significant changes over time. This #MentalHealthMonday, try adding one small habit, like a 5-minute meditation, a gratitude journal, or a short walk each day. I have tried to incorporate both daily gratitude and a daily walk into my routine and have found a difference in myself, my mindset, and mental health when I have done either of these activities. What will you try today? #MentalHealthMonday #SmallChanges #HabitsCompound #MentalHealth #LeadByExample

As a psychologist, I’ve realized something important. Sometimes, I carry other people's problems. It’s part of my work. But this also means I must choose myself often, So I don’t get lost in the weight of it all. Here’s how I stay grounded... ➡️ I take a 5-minute walk away from my desk. It helps reset my mind, so I can stay focused and avoid burnout. ➡️ I say no often. It protects my energy and ensures I’m not overextended. ➡️ I practice deep breathing or a brief meditation. It helps me pause, lowers stress, and keeps me calm. ➡️I enjoy writing down my thoughts. It helps me process emotions and clear mental clutter. It gives me a sense of control over my feelings. ➡️ I do things I love like reading and cooking. It restores my joy and gives me a healthy escape. Taking care of my mental health isn’t optional. It's a lifestyle to keeps me functional. It should be a way of life for you too. How are you protecting your well-being this weekend? #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealth #mentalwellness #endstigma
