316L electrodes out of the FFF printer for hydrogen production At least visually, this porous electrode we’ve just manufactured using our Ender 3 FFF printer and sintered in-house (left) can compete with the sintered electrode we obtained via lithography-based metal manufacturing (LMM) (right). Of course, LMM technology, with its lateral resolution of 35 µm, offers better shape accuracy. However, the performance of the two electrodes in alkaline electrolysis is decisive for us. Both samples will be surface-treated and tested now by our project partner CEST Kompetenzzentrum für elektrochemische Oberflächentechnologie GmbH. within our cooperative R&D project AktivMAT. In this project, which is funded by the government of Lower Austria and co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (EFRE), FOTEC Forschungs- und Technologietransfer GmbH and CEST develop novel, 3d-printed electrodes for hydrogen production. #ender3fff #lmm #greenfuels #hydrogen #3dprintedelectrodes #additivemanufacturing
