Sixth Bondi Junction victim identified as Chinese national Yixuan Cheng https://lnkd.in/gfzuWdPG Life is short and fleeting as psalmists and King Solomon testified, and we see in the news daily. Many died amidst doing our daily routines or going about our business. In view of this reoccurring event, putting your life in perspective should be your first priority before you vanish away. This is why understanding life here and hereafter is critical when answering the ultimate question: Where are you heading to after you are departed from the earth 🌎? #lifeanddeath #lifeafterdeath #justiceforthedead

"It's sometimes said we derive our value from the death of Jesus on the cross. I'd like to suggest the cross doesn't create our value; it reveals it. That is, we don't have value because Jesus died for us--Jesus died for us because we have value! But what is that value He saw?" Find out more about the value that God sees in us in this week's memo. You will definitely get more clarity on how valuable you are and how God values us so much! Read more: http://fast.st/296 #FASTMissions #MondayMemo #TheValueOfASoul

Does GOD exist in only some humans? Yesterday, something very sad happened in Hathras that made me ponder this question deeply. More than 100 people died after attending a satsang by a self-proclaimed godman. These people went there for blessings but didn't make it back home alive. This tragedy made me realize something important: we need to believe in things with proof and not just blindly follow. "Faith is important, but it should never be blind." I believe in questioning and seeking understanding. Blind faith, especially when it risks the lives of our families and communities, is dangerous. The self-proclaimed godman, whom people worshipped as God, could not protect them. This man moves with a cavalcade of cars and has his own personal security. How can he protect others when he cannot protect himself without security? So, what is the use of such belief? Instead of placing our faith in these self-proclaimed men, we should focus on worshipping the elders in our homes. Family is more important, and we can find God in our elders because they genuinely care for us. Now, the children of the deceased have become orphans, and many have become widows because they put their faith in this man. Let’s honor those who died by making sure our beliefs are based on reason and safety. We must prioritize the well-being of our loved ones above all else and find the divine in the love and care of our families.

Now he has died finally, can we now deliver the medal to the person that first made the post online? I used to think that human lifeless body was sacred under African tradition. Growing up, a corpse or a person at the verge of death was not a convenient sight to gloat with. Infact, in my place, you needed to wash your face if you saw one, and would never take the picture of his body in that most vulnerable state. Where there is a need for such a picture, it must be taken for a confidential reason. Apparently, we are no longer where we used to be. The need to earn through social media by gathering Views, comments and Likes has taken over our values as Africans. I'm not trying to preach against Views, Likes and Comments. Afterall, we all need it to grow our page and pocket. But, I'm here to question our humanity, sensitivity and morality when human life is astake. How convenient do you "vampires" feel struggling to put on your phone camera just to make a video of a man in his dying state ? Do you think the sanity and the feelings of the family members and loved ones would not be injured by the videos flying around? Apparently, the young man was still fighting for his life when those " scavengers" who ought to have assisted him got busy with their phones recording him instead. How the public were accurately informed of the entire step by step incident leading to his final death in real-time without missing a part of it remains a mystery. I feel very strongly that the "scavengers" were the ones who denied him a chance to live. They prioritised their page instead of his life. I think I'm tempted to agree with the Federal Government at this point that social media needs to be regulated. Rip. JNR. POPE.

Having Compassion… Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:8-9 In the church you attend, there are burdened souls staggering under their loads. In the nearby hospital, the sick and their loved ones are facing difficult moments. Down the street, inmates in the jail feel lost. In the nursing homes, lots of lonely people are suffering. And all around the world, there are millions of people who wonder how to deal with their overwhelming problems. Recommended Reading: 1 Peter 3:8-12. God has called us to minister to a suffering world. We must make a priority of asking God to show us where people are hurting so we can serve them in whatever way we can. We don’t have to go looking for those with needs. They’re all around us. We can’t help everyone, but we can help someone. Pray today and ask God to lead you to someone you can serve in their time of need. Jesus teaches that human need must always be helped; that there is no greater task than to relieve someone’s pain and distress and that the Christian’s compassion must be like God’s—unceasing.
