ASKO has opened its first pop-up showroom in #Ljubljana, #Slovenia in collaboration with fashion designer Matic Veler. The showroom combines high-quality, technologically advanced appliances and creative garments designed by the haute couture principle. Both brands have grown on a tradition of craftsmanship, and they share a commitment to innovation, aesthetics, and attention to detail. The ASKO x Matic Veler pop-up showroom is continuation of the collaboration that began with this year's #LjubljanaFashionWeek. Veler, the Royal College of Art in #London graduate, launched a bold and playful collection, inspired by the ASKO’s iconic A and the high-quality steel from which the appliances are made. The Ljubljana’s showroom is designed as an art gallery, in which elegant, minimalist-designed ASKO appliances, such as wine climate cabinets, inductions with Celsius°Cooking™ technology, ovens, drying cabinets, and Veler's outstanding yet subtle clothes, intertwine. The dialogue between the two worlds creates a festive atmosphere in Ljubljana’s historical centre and will continue to inspire until January 9, 2025. ASKO values and supports talented designers. The ASKO x Matic Veler pop-up showroom is just one of the projects with which the Swedish brand emphasizes the importance of good design connected to the tradition of craftsmanship, functionality, innovation, elegance and beauty. The showroom’s opening was attended by numerous design enthusiasts who could also enjoy the wines selected by #OrangeWineFestival Izola and the music played by DJ and producer #Amonita. #ASKO #InspiredByScandinavia #designinspiration #gooddesign #attentiontodetail #craftsmanship #hautecouture #fashiondesigner #fashion #showroom #artgallery #steel #appliances #wineclimatecabinet #induction #oven #wine #orangewine #champagne #holidays #lifestyle #ASKOSlovenija Jaka Slavinec dime rangelov Marco Scapin Damiano Ruzza Lara Baruca Jean Michel Kabaj Andreja Krivošič leo kulaš Nejc Ravnikar Andreja Medvedic Andrej Kovačič Sagadin Zmago Rok Kozelj Big Partner d.o.o. Fashion and interior design are two topics I love talking about especially when it’s with one of my favorites The Zoe Report! “It’s not overly embellished: It’s textured, layered, and has intentional splashes of color,” says Abbey Stark, home furnishing direction leader at IKEA U.S. “[Scandinavian style is] effortless and laid-back, like a pair of your favorite vintage jeans, a worn t-shirt, and a pair of woven flats.” #interiordesign #scandinaviandesign

Green is no longer just a trend in furniture design. For luxury brands, this shift presents a unique opportunity. A green velvet sofa or moss-coloured leather armchair can elevate a space and appeal to colour-confident consumers. But as expectations rise, it's not just about the product. The entire customer journey must reflect the same level of quality and care. Embracing green and delivering a seamless, high-end experience will be key to success in the evolving furniture market. What's your take on the staying power of green? #GreenFurniture #LuxuryFurniture #InteriorDesign #FurnitureTrends #BringingLuxuryHome

Why are luxury brands amplifying their presence at Milan Design Week, a prominent furniture event? Milan Design Week, or Salone del Mobile Milano, recently witnessed a blend of fashion and design, with standout performances from iconic brands like Hermès, Loewe, and Bottega Veneta. These luxury labels, amongst many others, used the stage to expand their influence, elevate their reputation, and forge deeper connections with audiences. This intersection of fashion and furniture goes beyond aesthetics—it's a strategic move in the ever-changing market landscape. As consumer preferences evolve, there's a growing opportunity for industry consolidation. While many fashion powerhouses are dipping their toes into homeware, Hermès stands out with a booming home business generating half a billion euros in annual revenue. At their most recent exhibition, Hermès revealed a compelling mix of equestrian-inspired cashmere throws, handcrafted leather chairs, and exquisite porcelain services. Meanwhile, at Loewe, Jonathan Anderson collaborated with 24 contemporary artists and craftspeople to reimagine lighting. The result? Unique artist lamps that seamlessly blend sculptural artistry with functional design, as seen in the image below (curtesy Loewe). It's fair to say that Milan Design Week has emerged as a pivotal platform where top fashion brands showcase their innovation in design, setting new trends in the intersection of fashion and home decor.

I believe the Vintage style in retail design beholds an eternal charm making it a significant choice for brands aiming to create memorable shopping experiences. With its nostalgic charm and evocative aesthetic, Vintage design taps into emotions and nostalgia, resonating with customers on a personal level. By incorporating classic furniture, retro signage, and quirky accessories, brands can transport shoppers to bygone eras, developing a sense of familiarity and comfort. What makes this style special is that it allows brands to stand out in a crowded marketplace, offering a unique and distinctive atmosphere that sets them apart from competitors. Whether it's reviving memories or simply adding character to the shopping environment, Vintage style in retail design adds depth and personality, leaving a lasting impression on customers. #RetailDesign #VintageStyle #CustomerExperience#BrandIdentity #MemorableShopping #NostalgiaMarketing #DistinctiveDesign

How Have Sofa Fabrics Evolved Over Time? 🛋️ In the ever-evolving world of sofa manufacturing, the materials we use are constantly changing. Let's take a journey through the history of sofa fabrics, from traditional textiles to modern, high-tech materials. 🌿✨ Traditional Textiles: Originally, sofas were upholstered in natural fibers like cotton, linen, and wool. These materials offered comfort and breathability but required regular maintenance. Synthetic Fabrics: The mid-20th century saw the rise of synthetic materials like polyester and nylon. These fabrics introduced durability and stain resistance, transforming the furniture industry. Microfiber Revolution: Microfiber emerged as a game-changer, combining softness with durability. It quickly became a favourite for families and pet owners due to its easy maintenance. Eco-friendly Fabrics: Sustainability is now at the forefront. Recycled materials, organic cotton, and bamboo are popular choices, reflecting a growing consumer preference for eco-friendly options. High-tech Innovations: Today's sofas feature cutting-edge materials like performance fabrics that resist stains, water, and UV rays. These fabrics are perfect for both indoor and outdoor use, offering longevity and ease of care. As we continue to innovate, what do you think the next big trend in sofa fabrics will be?
