Have you heard NGO social services described as “fiscal sinks”? That is another myth that embeds the NonProfit Starvation Cycle. “…(this) is a persistent myth that suggests organisations are purely receivers of financial support from which no return is garnered. The myths suggests that money spent in the sector is wasted and focuses policy makers and others on the issue of reducing expenditure rather than considering the quality of the purchase and the economic and social outcomes achieved…Notwithstanding the abundance of economic evidence confirming the broader substantial economic contribution of the sector, this myth is sustained in how funders evaluate and fund organisations.” You can read more about this myth and the biases it generates here: https://lnkd.in/g2AiciWT #ReframeOverhead #PatWhatItTakes #NonProfitStarvationCycle

The rise of the #familyoffice reflects the desire for families to manage their own money instead of just handing it over to someone else – and this is increasingly reflected in families’ approach to #philanthropy, as well. In this Crain Currency article, Christina Wing discusses how the Sabancı family, owners of Turkey’s Esas Holding, moved beyond simple charitable giving to employ investment principles, goals and metrics for social impact as they sought to tackle the challenge of youth unemployment in Turkey through education and training. #philanthropy #charitablegiving #socialimpact #familyoffice #familylegacy https://lnkd.in/e5mVmh3N

🎄 This holiday season, consider a gift that keeps on giving—literally. If you're still looking for a meaningful way to give back or want to make a donation in someone's name, I highly recommend checking out Kiva.org. Kiva's mission is simple yet profound: to expand financial access and help underserved communities around the world thrive. 💡 How it works: You can start with as little as $25 to provide microloans to individuals or causes you care about. Whether it's helping someone grow their small business, supporting education, or funding renewable energy projects in Africa, you get to choose where your impact goes. 🌟 What makes Kiva unique is that your contribution isn't just a one-time gift. As borrowers repay their loans, you can reinvest the funds into new projects—creating a cycle of impact. Personally, I've supported 71 individual projects so far, and with around $500 in lending, I find I can reinvest monthly to support 1-2 new cases. The joy of picking new projects to support is truly rewarding! If you’d prefer not to choose each project manually, Kiva even offers options to automate your giving based on your preferences. Giving through Kiva has become one of my favorite ways to make a difference—not just during the holiday season, but all year round. 🌍💚 Whether you're looking to make a small gesture with big impact or build a habit of giving, Kiva is a wonderful way to spread joy and opportunity. 🔗 Check it out here: Kiva.org Wishing you all a joyful and giving season! 🌟

Have only unofficially made my 1st sale (movie industry), but already have the mindset to donate funds towards community initiatives! Nobody should ever consider closing a school unless they have total mastery of the situation and the Vancouver School Board does not, so I am compelled to go back into business to #SaveCarleton. The Visual Thinking Company will be a social good company operating on a unique capped exit strategy with extensive open-source code to empower fellow entrepreneurs. It will have numerous trade secrets, the strongest ESOP employee empowerment plan, and a sales strategy designed to create a cultural shift through exceptional salesmanship. This approach aims to engage 16 stakeholders, making them all ecstatic, while fully respecting taxpayers. Achieving this vision requires harnessing the full power of the Canadian Dream and potentially federal intervention to preserve the aspirations of our youth. Can it be done? Can we reverse 20 potentially illegal sub-divisions that the local school board has already submitted to the City of Vancouver? Can we #SaveCarleton? Anybody in my old neighbourhood of Vancouver Collingwood want to volunteer to archive the history of the neighbourhood? I am happy to make some funding available for a renewed and vigourous online presence.

I am happy that for the entire nine years of INDUSTRY 5.0 existence, not a single time was the development supported by third-party investment from investors, funds, charities, or incentives. INDUSTRY 5.0 remain independent. It is one of the way to recognize INDUSTRY 5.0 FAKE because every single project is supported by incentives and funding despite lack of palpable results. Money and time are being wasted in a scale permitted by the citizens who pay all the money expecting improvement, that never come. This is why there is only one INDUSTRY 5.0 ORIGINAL but many FAKES INDUSTRY 5.0 AMBASSADORS NETWORK Industry 5.0 INDUSTRY 5.0 STRATEGIC ALLIANCE

The Israeli Children's Fund (ICF) was established by businessmen and women and high-tech professionals, with the goal of supporting 406 children aged 0-25 who lost a parent or both their parents in the most terrible massacre that the State of Israel has ever known. Our mission is to provide economic and professional support for each and every one of these children, so they can live a beneficial and fulfilling life alongside their tragedy and loss. ICF aims to provide each child with a financial support system worth $200,000 for significant life events such as talent development, military enlistment, higher education and vocational training, and even the purchase of a car and an apartment. In addition, ICF operates as a comprehensive coordinated source of aid for the children, connecting existing programs in Israel and around the world with emerging needs and challenges of the families, with an emphasis on trauma treatment and resilience development. We also leverage technology as part of the solutions offered to families and beneficiaries, including a "Benefits Bot" developed to clarify and simplify each family's rights from the government. Our flagship technological project is a digital platform, where families can discover various opportunities and initiatives offered to them in different fields, as well as securely and privately share their daily needs and challenges, which sometimes trouble them no less than significant life events. In consideration of the the upheaval and instability in the lives of these families and children, we understand that the mission to ensure the financial well-being of these children for the next 25 years needs to be accomplished today: "Knowing that the financial future of my children is secured frees me and them to focus on our healing and recovery here and now" (A widowed father of three) We invite you to join the effort and help us ensure the best possible future for the children who lost so much on October 7th: https://lnkd.in/dgXmXkff Marni Mandell Shir Marom Kelly Breakstone Roth Sapir Hadad Naama Geva Raz Abramov Eyal Niv Mody Kidon Limor Avidor Tomer Levy Michelle Latzer Tom Livne Meira Farber Rahamim Cecile Blilious Ido Ivri
