If you're an animal lover or have ever cared for a special needs animal, I need your help. Royal Canin changed the recipe for its Low Fat Gastrointestinal Formula without any prior notice or label indication. This food is critical for dogs with life-threatening pancreas issues, helping prevent pancreatitis attacks that often require days of hospitalization and can even be fatal. I noticed a change in texture and odor of the food several months ago after my dog started having continual gastrointestinal issues and began refusing to eat. After contacting customer service, I discovered the formula change. Since then, I've found many other pet owners facing the same issues, with some reporting severe side effects from the new formula, from refusal to eat all the way to life-threatening and costly hospitalizations. Please sign my petition to urge Royal Canin to revert to the original formula. Our pets' lives depend on it. NOT looking for donations (just signatures), the site may ask because that’s just their platform, but you can quickly sign it with your name and email without donating. If you love your animals and want to help, please share this post with others. Together, we can make a difference. #PetCare #AnimalLovers #RoyalCanin #DogHealth #PancreatitisAwareness #Petition https://chng.it/NSvmkRZBhk

Here are some ways to celebrate National Love Your Pet Day👇🏻: 1. Spoil them with delicious treats: Food is a sure way to the heart of almost any pet. You could buy your pets premium brand biscuits from the pet store, prepare homemade treats from scratch, or offer them their favorite type of pet-safe table scrap😋. 2. Buy them a fun new toy: Toys are a fun way to engage with your pet. Many pets have a collection of toys, but how often do you take the time to indulge in dedicated playtime with your furry friend? Like any relationship, fun activities sometimes fall by the wayside in favor of more ‘important’ tasks as time goes by🏀. 3. Go on an adventure together: If your pet is the adventurous type, consider taking an excursion together — like a long walk or a trip to the dog park. Discovering a new state, park, or hiking trail will be exciting and invigorating for both of you 🏃🏻♂🐾. 4. Have a photo shoot together: Capture the special moments with your pet by having a photo shoot together📸. 5. Visit a Starbucks for a cappuccino: Treat your pet with a cappuccino from Starbucks🎯. 6. Visit a pet-friendly restaurant: Take your pet to a pet-friendly restaurant 🐕. 7. Donate to your local pet shelter: If you love animals but don’t have any pets, you can donate to your local pet shelter 🏛. Remember, the most important thing is to spend quality time with your pet and show them how much you love them. Have your veterinarian examine your pet at least once a year to make sure your pet is healthy and to help detect problems earlier. 5. Vaccinate your pet against potentially deadly diseases such as distemper, parvo, panleukopenia and rabies. 6. Keep your pet free of parasites (fleas and ticks, heartworm, etc.) – consult your veterinarian for the best product for your pet. 7. Walmart is expanding pet care services with new veterinary service centers in Georgia and Arizona, including veterinary telehealth, and veterinary prescription drug delivery. With a projected 7% annual spending growth in the pet care industry by 2030 and with household expenses expected to reach $1,445 per pet by 2026, the expansion is consistent with evolving consumer trends prioritizing pets as family members. Walmart.com's pet care related sales of $581 million were only bested by Petsmart.com (#2) and Chewy.com (#1). Veterinary services, in general, are expected to see continued growth as more and more pet owners want to ensure their pets’ wellbeing with preventive care. Walmart is also partnering with telehealth provider Pawp. The online platform gives Walmart+ members free, 24/7 access to Pawp’s team of veterinary professionals with unlimited visits via text or video. Walmart has also added new pet brands over the past year. This is Walmart's second attempt at veterinary services; the Company previously attempted to enter the veterinary care space several years ago with PetIQ, but that venture ultimately failed.

After walking hundreds of folks through the devastating loss of saying goodbye to their furry family member, I was inspired to create something to help with the process of caring when illness or emergencies impact the ability to care for a pet. (think financial, loss of a job, divorce etc). Please consider the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of planning for your pets' care intentionally before and during their aging years. Introducing Promises To My Pet, a pragmatic step-by-step guide designed to help your pet live their best life by planning for care BEFORE getting sick. No one wants to think about end-of-life planning or setting up a budget for vet visits when they are cute and snuggly. But accidents happen, and we owe it to them to be prepared for those rainy days. For less than the cost of a fancy latte at Starbucks, invest an hour of your time and gain peace of mind knowing you have a structured framework to support your pet through challenging times. Sit down and think about those end-of-life decisions now. Make a copy for your veterinarian, your petsitter and anyone who may be caring for your pet. You can update it over and over again as your circumstances change. Bulk copies/discounts available for veterinary practices, pet sitters, pet shelters, and non-profits. Don't wait until it's too late. Find out more here: https://amzn.to/4cxd4pt #vetmed #advancehealthcaredirective #petplanning

I’m excited to announce the presale campaign for my book, tentatively titled UNLEASHING THE BOND: Harnessing the Benefits and Safeguarding the Risks of Human-Animal Interactions, will be kicking off this week. You might be wondering why I’m running a presale, and when I first heard it, I was too. Turns out it’s all to do with my publishing journey as a hybrid author. If you’re not familiar with hybrid publishing, which I wasn’t, it’s a model that blends traditional publishing and self-publishing. I chose this path because it gives me the support of a traditional publisher, including editorial, design, distribution, and marketing support, while allowing me to maintain the rights and creative control for my book. I was contacted by Founder/CEO of Manuscripts Eric Koester last fall and invited to write a book on the human-animal bond after he had seen my 2016 TEDx talk, The Power of a Pet. I initially declined this invitation because with my schedule, I really didn’t think I would have time to do it justice, nor was I the person to write it. However, with further prompting and encouragement from him and others, I agreed. Although I was not aware of all the elements of the process for which I would find myself engaged – far beyond the writing – I am glad I decide to do it because it has energized me, given me the opportunity to meet people I might not have ever known, and to learn about their experiences and stories with animals and the importance and impact of those bonds on their health, wellbeing, and lives. By running this presale campaign, I’m raising the funds needed to cover the costs of these professional services to ensure UNLEASHING THE BOND gets the best possible start. Your support means the world to me, and I can’t wait to share my journey with you. Those who support me during the pre-sale campaign over the next 30 days will get special insights and perks as I complete my journey with the book being published in early 2025. A portion of proceeds from the book will be donated to organizations who help to protect, promote, and preserve the human-animal bond. Stay tuned for more information as my pre-sale campaign launches soon! part-2, 8. **Engage with the Community**: Engage with pet owners through social media platforms, online forums, and local pet events. Answer their questions, address their concerns, and share valuable information about the benefits of fresh pet foods. 9. **Offer Samples or Trials**: Offer samples or trial packages of fresh pet foods to allow pet owners to see the difference for themselves. Once they experience the benefits firsthand, they're more likely to become loyal customers. 10. **Provide Ongoing Support**: Offer ongoing support to pet owners as they transition to feeding their pets fresh foods. Be available to answer questions, provide guidance, and address any issues that may arise along the way. By employing these strategies, Pet Wants can effectively educate pet owners about the value of serving fresh pet foods to their pets and establish itself as a trusted provider of high-quality, nutritious pet foods in the market.

It seems Chewy, along with Forbes are in kahoots with each other to spread the good word about how "AH-MAZING" these hospitals are. Not a single mention in this article about how Chewy is infringing on what seems to be monopolization of this market. With it's own pharmacy, food, and non-consumable pet care services where else would you need to go for pet care? WHY didn't Forbes EVEN mention how this is a HUGE violation of the veterinary industry's trust and direct competition in a market already struggling to obtain support staff. Where is the Federal Trade Commission in this? Apparently, you can do whatever you want in the US and get away with it if there is enough money to back you. (Check out the article here: https://lnkd.in/eEkuZ3t2) William Tancredi wrote an article in March of this year reviewing Chewy as a company. I really enjoyed his viewpoint. Maybe you will, too? With more hospitals set to open from Chewy...it may be worth your while to investigate this situation and possibly reach out to your state and federal representatives. After all, knowledge IS power. Or...is it "Money is power"? I'm starting to forget. Tancredi's article: https://lnkd.in/eT_zsAqE
