One of our goals is to disseminate relevant research for decision makers & policymakers to inform and further policies that promote a sustainable balance between economic & environmental health.

#Environmental #Justice, which explores the distribution of #environmental benefits and burdens amongst both #privileged and #marginalisedgroups, including their recognition and inclusion in decision-making processes, is now integral to environmental policy and planning. Scholars and policymakers increasingly seek an understanding of whether, and how, existing research and policy efforts reflect, and or operationalise, justice-based principles. This very interesting articles delves into assessing environmental justice contributions in research and public policy.

The continuing deterioration of our planet’s environmental health is often attributed to the failure of international environmental conventions. However, this narrative misplaces the blame. The real failure lies not in these mechanisms themselves, but in their implementation – or rather, the systematic obstruction of their implementation by parties prioritizing short-term national interests over global environmental imperatives
