My #SAP network, sharing and recommending for Project- / Delivery- / Service- Managers great series of webinars about Large SAP S/4HANA Transformation Program Method by Capgemini: https://lnkd.in/dTPKgy9y For me particularly Webinar 2: How to shape your transformation journey? and Webinar 4: How to set up your large transformation program for success? were very useful from value management perspective. My personal learnings and improvements for next engagement: 🤔 Clear Why? What? How? Who? How long? Feel? model 📊 Build (or validate if joining in the later phases) strong business case from two parts: Top Down Value Case (mainly financial focus) and Bottom Up Business Case (mainly operational focus). Have leadership and stakeholders buy-in. 📝 Requirements must be captured in the context of target benefits. 🚀 Business case and requirements shall lead to value driven release plan. One of the best things I learned at the beginning of my Technology Consulting (SAP) career was my former boss, Ramakrishna Potluri (Ramki), instilling a mindset of going beyond ordinary consulting practice. In his words (rephrase), anybody can do transactions and customisations in SAP, but what will ultimately make you to standout is understanding the core business processes, and how they can be mapped in the SAP system. Also, your approach must always be client-focused. Truly, very truly, looking back, I can’t but be immensely grateful to him and some of the business leaders I have been fortunate to work with thus far, resulting a great feat of impact on the businesses our team has been supporting daily. If you are starting out a career in a field or team, find leaders within and ask questions.
