If you've worked in BigLaw, you have a superpower that you might not even realize: Your expectations about working hard, working hours, and client service are totally distorted...in a good(ish) way. When you step out of that environment, you will see how big of a difference there is in terms of what others are used to and expect from many professional service providers. It's like experiencing the cost of living differences moving from an expensive city to a rural town but for your own professional capacity. And while it is no doubt a struggle to operate within those expectations when in BigLaw, and there are many things that still need to change about it, being used to playing on expert mode is a surprisingly valuable parting gift from the experience. #biglaw #smalllaw

🌟 Pulastya Legal Turns 10! 🌟 ✏️ Part 2: Going Back to the Whiteboard 📝 As we celebrate 10 incredible years at Pulastya Legal Services LLP, my partner Mayank Sharma and I reflect on the journey, the challenges, and the road ahead. 🎉 Recently, two very key team members decided to move on, and while it's natural to feel a moment of worry, we chose to go back to the basics instead of panicking. 🖍️✨ Yes, we literally went back to the whiteboard, revisiting the vision we started with, asking ourselves: How can we do better? This isn't the first time we've returned to the drawing board. When we started Pulastya Legal Services LLP with just ₹10,000 in our pockets, no office space, and a big dream, the whiteboard was our constant companion. 🗒️💡 And even today, we realize there's so much more to give to the firm, our team, and our clients. Here are 3 Rules We've Learned About Sticking to the Basics: 1️⃣ Adaptability Over Fear: Change is inevitable. Instead of fearing it, embrace it as an opportunity to rethink and realign. Going back to the basics gives you clarity and control over the next steps. 2️⃣ The Whiteboard Is a Tool, Not a Step Back: Revisiting your foundation doesn't mean failure - it’s a powerful strategy to remind yourself of your "why" and build a stronger “how.” 3️⃣ Resilience Is in Simplicity: When things feel overwhelming, simplicity can be your best friend. Break down complex challenges into manageable steps, just like we did 10 years ago. So what is my Takeaway? 🤟 Growth is a series of reflections and improvements. As Pulastya Legal Services LLP turns 10, we are not just celebrating a milestone - we are preparing for the next decade with the same zest and zeal that started this journey.
