Thanks to both the PMs and the Trade Commissioners of India and Aotearoa / NZ. If one studies the number of times, both these countries have met over the trade agenda, one will learn a lot. According to me, India has a huge market for many things, and NZ has a great R&D, and IP, invested by the crown and individuals over some time. For NZ, it is required to formulate a policy of offering the R&D / IP / Technology under license to an Indian counterpart. The 2-part treaty between companies, research institutions, and individuals, would have a testing-the-waters phase, and finally a scaling-up phase.
Investment by the Indian entity should be factored in while deciding the license fee, royalty, commission on sales, etc., making it fair on both sides.
I don't understand this Non-Stop flight demand. people going to the US, Europe, and Japan, are happy with the current availability and routes of the various flight options. One gets a break from a 16/17-hour non-strop flight. Especially, kids under 5 years, old age, and special needs persons are happy with the breaks. Yes, it could be an option, but certainly not a Trade Demand.
