Just returned back from Zurich from attending comprehensive product training at Schmid & Partner Engineering AG (SPEAG).  One of the fascinating solutions SPEAG offers is their Dielectric Assessment Kit (DAK): https://lnkd.in/gUJjm-tu DAK measurement systems offer broadband dielectric measurement of liquids, semi-solids, solids, and powders between 4 MHz and 67 GHz. DAK solutions are based on the advanced implementation of the open coaxial probe (OCP) method, in which a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) measures the reflection coefficient (S11) and then the DAK software determines the dielectric properties (permittivity, conductivity and loss tangent ) from S11. The probes are mounted on a stand and connect via high-quality cable to a user-supplied VNA. Accurate dielectric measurements are needed for research and development, optimizing the design process, quality control and assurance.
