Laughter and Light for Every Child: This #LaughterDay Let's End Child Abuse Today, on Laughter Day, let's spread joy beyond ourselves and bring smiles to the faces that need it most – children. Laughter is a universal language, but sadly, not every child gets to experience a carefree childhood. Child abuse is a harsh reality, robbing children of their innocence and joy. This Laughter Day, let's pledge to: Support organizations like Parwarish Cares Foundation, working to prevent child abuse and protect vulnerable children. Educate ourselves and others about the signs of child abuse and neglect. Speak up if you suspect a child is being abused. Donate time or resources to organizations that bring laughter and support to children in need. Remember, even a small act of kindness can make a big difference in a child's life. Together, let's create a world where every child can laugh freely and safely. #LaughterDay #EndChildAbuse #ProtectOurChildren #SpreadKindness #MakeADifference
Today, on World Laughter Day, let's take the pledge to protect the laughter of a child, ensuring they have the freedom and right to laugh freely. बच्चों की हंसी, हमारा उत्तरदायित्व | . . . . . #worldlaughterday #worldlaughterday2024 #protectchildren #children #smile #stopsexualabuse

A longish YouTube video link below. There are alternatives to what the Beech Band (and Beech Tap) offers. There’s also a long history of this kind of approach. However, I had no knowledge of this as I tried to get my voice back and overcome anxiety. Then I discovered a seemingly unique twist. It seemed to have more impact. I took my ideas to a few people. My ideas around use of profits and a super low cost, dumb device weren’t initially hugely attractive. Then I stumbled through desperation, into more discoveries and symptom hacks one night whilst sitting alone and trying to figure things out. The concept of the Beech Band was born! Together with my partner Nick and now others (with the same values) who are gathering around us we got to work. This is a long vid but bear with us if you have the time. It gives a pretty detailed breakdown of the why and the what. We’ve big plans for the future and want to help as many people as possible. My background is 30 yrs in the charity sector and these principles guide the business. The range of symptoms and conditions it helps with have blown our minds too. What started as something to help with anxiety and speech escalated beyond anything we expected. #parkinsons #yopd #stammer #beechband #anxiety #gait #tremor #speech #tourettes https://lnkd.in/eRQDffY3
The alternatives, the whys and the what. Do you actually need a Beech Band (maybe not)?

Words are important, but without being backed up by actions they are meaningless. It takes ongoing action to decolonise your systems, processes and culture, so that First Nations sovereignty can truly be respected and upheld. What does 'sorry' mean to you and your organisation? What are you doing to ensure 'sorry' means it never happens again? Are you hearing what Aboriginal people in your communities are telling you? #sorryday #alwayswasalwayswillbe
Today is Sorry Day 2024. In her latest IX piece, Djab Wurrung woman Sissy Austin reflects on her family's involvement with the first Sorry Day rally and recounts how her father emotionally took to the mic and said "I don’t want to stand here in 10 years-time doing the same thing, we are here to protect our children, for the future and we are here to acknowledge the past”. Read more: https://lnkd.in/g467YRvQ Today is a day for families in our communities to feel hurt, pain, anger and grief. If you're not mob, please be respectful today.
