Just finished Chapter 1 of The Ultimate Data and AI Guide and think the description they give above of industrial revolution vs AI revolution is very apt. ✒ "These (AI) systems display intelligent behaviour: they can arrive at decisions autonomously, make predictions about the future, communicate with us in natural language and ultimately automate certain tasks that presently require human intelligence." ✒ But underpinning AI is data - "Much like how fossil fuels have propelled the machines that equip us with muscle power, 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 that are equipping us with mind power." And I recommend this book - given the topic, it's surprisingly engaging and easy to read. Mind you, it's going to get a lot more complex beyond Chapter 1 so ask me how I feel next week!
