Atomic Object’s Post

Recently, our Software Consultant and Developer, Kealy Williams, presented at the Michigan Celebration of Women in Computing Conference. Her talk, “Breaking Free from the Lone Coder,” challenged the myth of the solo genius coder and highlighted the reality: great software is built by teams. Kealy shared examples like Mark Zuckerberg, often seen as a lone genius behind Facebook, but it was the collaboration with early team members that turned his vision into a global platform. She reminded us that while individual efforts can spark innovation, it’s teamwork and collaboration that truly drive lasting success. At Atomic, we share the same belief. Our co-located teams thrive through open communication, flexibility, and a strong sense of collaboration. We know that in-person interactions foster trust, mentorship, and spontaneous problem-solving, creating the foundation for great project outcomes. As Kealy said, “The most groundbreaking software—and the most fulfilling careers—are built together.” #MICWIC2024
