It’s interesting to see the superyacht industry landscape illiustrated like this. Superyacht sales experienced a notable 17 percent decline last year, primarily attributed to the exclusion of Russian oligarchs from the market and the soaring costs associated with ownership. Factors such as increased operational expenses, supply chain disruptions, and lengthy wait times for bespoke vessels also contributed to the downturn. The top end of the market saw the most significant impact, with orders for yachts between 200 and 600 feet decreasing by 40 percent. Despite this, the superyacht industry saw a surge in deliveries, with a remarkable 31 percent increase in 2023 compared to the previous year.
