Our health partners and clients see the use of the app as critical to digital enablement and encouraging as a fist step for many patients of their self management and pathway to other digital services. "Take an innovation like the NHS App. This could be a whole digital front door to the NHS" KS, 12/09/24 It already is. But at 56% against a target of 75%, there is work to do. Not surprising I guess, given there are multiple entry points and much of the population rarely needs it. Perhaps time to rationalise the options and create a simpler new user journey, given the infrequent and distressed nature of some patient engagements? Consider incentivising the system to add more inventory and build new functionality? Free up more traditional non-digital access routes for the longer-term digitally excluded whilst we level up? When it comes to digital access, patients are consumers. So benchmark against the best brands in the world at this. Finally, communicate clearly and concisely with everyone in the population.
