These persistent and prolific offenders are often caught in the cycle of addiction, and if you don’t tackle the route cause you simply don’t tackle the problem!!! The NBCS foundation raisies money for some fantastic causes that helps and supports those individuals to break the cycle of addiction by addressing its route causation. Every single penny raised at this event will go to those just causes. Monies raised will not go into our profit pot, pay a large bonus to its employees or buy a fancy car. It will be put back into supporting those organisations that will ultimately help our industry. Next are proud to support the NBCS foundation and we hope that retailers, vendors and other organisations alike are prepared to do the same, please share this post as far and wide as you can. It's not sexy. For lots of volunteer committees it can feel like a burden. For many starting out in the world of volunteer governance it can be quite frightening and overwhelming. But good governance is so important to ensure the sustainable future of our toy libraries. It has been super exciting to see all the toy libraries who have pulled on their big kid pants and sorted out their ACNC registration, the passion of our toy library community should never be underestimated. I am super proud to work for a peak body who provides practical support to enable volunteers to develop their understanding and mastery of good governance. If we want to bring more good people into the board rooms of Australia maybe we should all be looking to invest more in the good people who are already delivering on good governance right now in volunteer roles right across the country?
