let me just highlight 1 out of the 6 characteristics of a reputable longevity clinic that actually means business, according to Petr Sramek:
"The clinic should actively participate in longevity clinical studies."
I recommend to read the other 5 in the post below
MAHAVIR JAYANTI----MY THOUGHTS AND REFLECTION
Mahavir’s Anekantvada and Healthcare:
May the spirit of Mahavir Jayanti illuminate our hearts and guide us towards a path of holistic wellness and compassion.
At Spandan, we draw inspiration from Lord Mahavir's teachings of non-violence and harmony, fostering a healing environment where every individual's well-being is nurtured with care and empathy.
Mahavir’s Anekantvada has profound implications in healthcare.
The multiplicity of perspectives that anekantavada teaches us is important in the healthcare setting because teamwork, collaboration, and learning from others are at the cornerstone of medicine. Student or doctor aside, anekantavada is a human principle, a reminder of our finitude-our limits/limitations.
Anekantavad also does not mean conceding that all arguments and views are true, but rather that logic and evidence determine which views are true, and as to which aspect, and to what extent. For this, Anekantavad relies on ‘samayakva’ which means rationality and logic, and ‘syadvada’ which means ‘perhaps’ or ‘may be’, i.e. ‘in some ways’ or ‘ from a particular perspective’.
This helps you in your journey of becoming unprejudiced observer: prerequisite for the evolution of physician.
Conceptualized and applied globally can be a great prescription for the international peace.
Mahavir placed great emphasis on conquering and recognizing one’s own self and mastering the mind.
On this auspicious day, let's reaffirm our commitment to promoting health, happiness, and harmony in our community.

Having been lucky to attend a number of the #UNGA79 side meetings and numerous other AMR and Global Health meetings over the past years has led me to reflect on what makes a good panel?
Panels have become increasingly popular and there are definitely good ones and bad. My tuppence worth to what makes a good panel would be:
Varying speakers on the panel (not the same candidates each time) & using blinded questions for panelists rather that asking them to pre-prepare monologues. Panelists are meant to be experts in their field!
Equity in terms of panel members, importantly in gender, race, and geography. The days of 'Manels' (all male panels) should be a thing of the past (although it's not), yet racial and geographic representation is often overlooked. Prime example is the disheartening spectacle of panels addressing topics that relate directly to low- and middle-income countries, composed entirely of high-income country participants. This is all too common in the field of #AMR and #GlobalHealth
Moderators should be encouraged and be prepared to CHALLENGE panelists on their views, especially when a prepared monologue has been delivered. Otherwise, what's the point?
Time should be given to audience Q&A. Participants in any event are not just there to hear from the panelists, they should be encouraged to be active participants.
Keep it short! The best panels I've seen were at the Paris Peace Forum which is brilliantly organised and works a treat. Each was 40 minutes on the dot.
I'm sure there are other aspects that make a good panel. The above points are not difficult to achieve, but seemingly, so rarely practiced.
I take immense pride in my Chinese heritage and the deep-rooted wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It’s more than just a professional interest, it’s a vital part of who I am. Sharing the rich traditions of TCM isn’t just about passing on knowledge, it’s about enriching health practices globally with a time-honored system that has stood the test of centuries.
In today’s world, where wellness often trends towards whatever is perceived as new, it’s important to recognize that TCM is not a passing trend. It is a discipline that combines the understanding of nature with human health, offering deep, holistic insights into long-term wellness. I honor this legacy by ensuring that our engagement with TCM practices is thoughtful and respectful, never commodifying but always cherishing the culture from which these practices originate.
We are committed to educating our community about TCM’s benefits and cultural significance, fostering an appreciation that goes beyond the latest trends. Let’s explore how these ancient practices can provide sustainable health solutions in our modern world!
How have you integrated or considered integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine into your health practices?

A great initiative of Longevity Alliance Baltic (LAB) to organize a meetup in Riga, Latvia, on October 1, 18.00-19.30 EEST! Welcome to participate and spread the word! https://lu.ma/2y4kjlyl
Just to expand: This event is a part of the International Longevity Day campaign of October 1, that International Longevity Alliance (ILA) and other groups have been organizing for 12 years (since 2013). See here some of the Longevity Day events planned for this year, including the one in Riga. https://lnkd.in/dFT8VTMx
In addition to the usual formats, like physical meetups and online videocalls, in this year, it can be possible to try something new for the Longevity Day - a hybrid of online and physical meetups (something that hasn't been done in the Longevity Day/Month campaign before) - not just a zoom streaming, but video-bridges between different physical locations. One of the locations is the event in Riga, another will be in the same time on October 1 in Tel Aviv, from which greetings will be said to the event in Riga.
https://lnkd.in/dABc8_VG
And now we invite setting up additional locations for this Longevity Day video bridge! In particular, locations can be set up in the countries within the International Longevity Alliance, that ILA can coordinate together.
Suggestions are welcome!
Longevity Alliance Baltic is hosting a free workshop on the International Longevity Day in Riga! Join us on October 1st for a small gathering focused on healthy human #longevity, with engaging talks, tea, and networking.
This free, 90-minute workshop will feature insights from Dr. Ilia Stambler, Yuri Ostrinski, and Dr. Uģis Klētnieks, who will explore the impact of physical exercise on human longevity and discuss the hallmarks of #ageing.
The event is co-organised together with Karina Karalkina and Femina.LV.
Register: https://lu.ma/2y4kjlyl
Although the attendance is free, Longevity Alliance Baltic welcomes your support and encourages new memberships: https://lnkd.in/drxUyXtz

Chiropractic treats more than back pain. We specialize in conditions of the spinal column and nervous system that affects every function in your body.
Think about this for a moment, if your car is out of alignment, what are you going to do about it?
Will you allow it to stay out of alignment?
If so, what will happen if that remains out of alignment for three months? Six months? Nine months? A year?
You better believe that the other joints that the car will wear and tear more quickly.
The result, you now have more than one problem that affects the entire system.
The bottom line is:
PROPER STRUCTURE =
PROPER FUNCTION
