Stop!!! Polite Notice!!! Don't just assume that just because someone has left a position and is searching for another that they are not going to fit the role you are recruiting for. The candidate may have chosen to leave the role as the company was not aligned with the candidates ethics. The company may not have the same standards in customer care. The manager may not have managed them correctly. The reputation of the company may not have been good enough to attract the right people required to build a successful team. The company may not have the right process's in place and may not want to listen or change their approach to improve. The company may have a toxic workplace. The OTE may never be achievable no matter who was in the role. Their could be lots of reasons none of which are indications or factors in the candidates ability to do the job they were doing or that you are recruiting for... So maybe before throwing a CV into the bin take 5 mins to make a call for a chat.. You might be really surprised and they might be just the right candidate to help you take your business to the next level. Starting a New Career in the Motor Sales Industry - Embracing Change and Opportunity Transitioning to a new career can be both challenging and exhilarating, especially when it's in a completely different industry. Having spent 25 years in defence and several in personal security, I am now stepping into the motor sales industry with Vertu Volkswagen. This new path is a significant departure from my previous roles, but it is a change I am embracing with enthusiasm and optimism. One of the most exciting aspects of this transition is the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone. While defence and personal security required a high level of discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to think quickly under pressure, motor sales brings a fresh set of challenges that I am eager to tackle. It’s an industry that demands strong communication skills, an understanding of customer needs, and the ability to build lasting relationships—all of which I am confident I can develop and excel in. The prospect of learning and growing in a new field is incredibly motivating. With the backing of a great team and a strong management structure at Vertu Volkswagen, I am confident that I will be able to achieve success.
