Audi Brussels once again proves its social commitment
We are proud that Audi Brussels participated for the fourth time in the 1.000 km for Kom op tegen Kanker initiative! Our team is dedicated to making a difference in the fight against cancer, and we have taken a creative approach to fund our participation.
To cover the entry fees, we launched a clothing sale within our company, among other things. The enthusiasm and support from our employees have been incredible, showing once again the strong community spirit at Audi Brussels. In summary over 400 orders were placed and last week the orders were finally packed.
By coming together and contributing to this important cause, we collect every year around 20.000 Euro to donate to Kom Op Tegen Kanker and Télévie for cancer research and patient care.
Thank you to everyone who placed an order and supported this initiative. A special thanks goes to Joachim Van Woensel and his team for organizing this initiative once again. Together, we can make a difference!
Every 1000 miles journey starts with one single step.
Mission accomplished: Thank You for your support & donations!
Grateful to have completed my third Alzheimer’s Challenge this year, running 300 kilometers over trails for the approximate 300,000 patients in the Netherlands suffering from Alzheimer’s disease: with your help I raised over Euro1,000 and ran over 360 km, of which the last 114 km’s across the Swiss Alps in three days – crossing 7,000+ altitude meters: truly a gift!
Alzheimer’s deserves the best research and road to resolution since the disease gradually takes all memories, impairs thinking and reasoning and causes disorientation and confusion. This not only affects the patient, but very much so the patient’s direct environment, family and friends.
My father suffered from a neurodegenerative disease with similar symptons as Alzheimer’s and therefore I am extra motivated to make a small difference in raising awareness and funds to beat Alzheimer’s.
Moreover, since starting GraphPolaris, we made it our pledge to contribute directly to the personalization of quality care, including in neurodegenerative disease settings.
Along with trusted parters, we intend to make our difference with the aim to provide researchers and healthcare providers intuitive tools to explore complex connected datasets, identify patterns, and make informed decisions about quality-in-care pathways and longevity strategies.

Feel free to reach out directly to me or my team to start making that first step.
Alternatively – or on top – you can still make your difference by donating to Alzheimer’s research through this link:

Keep on running & Keep on Innovating

Thank you to everyone who has already supported the campaign, which has been running for about two days and has already raised 30%! It’s wonderful to see how your donations and shares have directly contributed to saving a child's life—not just addressing an abstract healthcare issue, but helping a specific individual.
For those who have just come across my post or might have missed the last one, I completely understand that life has its cycles, and we all want to live and experience fully.
Experience becomes most intriguing when it’s new, right? So, rather than out of guilt or sadness, let's explore a new perspective: What would you feel if you skipped just one or two lunches next week? These are lunches some of us might need to forego anyway—I’m not pointing fingers; I’m speaking from personal experience. Or perhaps, instead of visiting Starbucks once or twice, spend that time breathing in fresh air and reflecting on how great and healthy you feel without the extra sugar and cream.
If this helps and you find yourself feeling healthier and better, why not reinforce this new habit? Make this new experience memorable. Do something beneficial for yourself, your family, and your community. After small actions like this...
For example, consider donating the money you save from cutting back on excess carbs to a charity of your choice. You might choose the one linked below, which is helping a mother save her child. You’ll find her story in the description below. After her story, I calculated if just a thousand people—fewer than my followers here—skip a couple of lunches next week and donate, the campaign will be fully funded, and the child will get surgery. A thousand people will also become slimmer and healthier. Interesting, isn’t it? I am asking myself the same question: What am I missing here? Apparently nothing, it’s just tiny attention and a simple decision.
Or simply share this post if it has provided you with a new insight or perspective.
In our lives, energy is expended one way or another, and as members of the LinkedIn community striving for intellectual growth, perhaps you could share your ideas on how to handle such situations.
Because small actions like these can change you, your environment, and your community. They truly make our lives different and better.
If not, thank you for your attention and for taking the time to read this post.

Today, I am asking for your help...
Dear Colleagues,
I have always strived to help and support those I have had the pleasure of working with. Today, I am reaching out to you for help in the fight for the life and a happy future for my 7-year-old daughter, Pola.
In mid-June, Pola was diagnosed with a brain tumor in a very difficult location, which is not completely operable in Poland. Despite the challenging situation, Pola bravely fights every day.
We are currently awaiting biopsy results, which could change the course of Pola's battle for health. Our hope lies in a specialized center in Tubingen, Germany, where it is possible to perform surgery and further treatment for Pola.
Your help and support are invaluable to us. Please, keep your fingers crossed for our Pola and, if you can, support our fundraiser. Every donation brings us closer to our goal and gives Pola a chance for further treatment and recovery.

Hey there, LI Community! Opportunity to support an important cause here. Please read on and spread awareness — you might learn something you didn’t know 🧐
Still hard to believe, but in less than 3 months I’ll be running the NYC marathon to support the Endometriosis Foundation of America. What’s even harder to believe is that I’ll be running it almost one year free from endometriosis 🤯
Endometriosis is a chronic disease that has debilitated me too many weeks of too many months for too many years (over 20!). If you’ve worked with me before, chances are you’ve seen me power through meetings while masking excruciating pain (oh at conferences, too -- I’ve always had the absolute worst conference luck).
Endometriosis is often called the "silent disease," not only because its symptoms can be hidden, but also because of the silence surrounding it in the medical community.
The average time to diagnose endometriosis is 4-11 years. Hundreds of medical schools don’t even teach it. Women show up to ERs rating their pain a 10 and are told that it’s normal. Silence speaks volumes.
EndoFound is breaking that silence. Their work raises awareness, funds medical research, and supports the specialized training needed to treat endometriosis. Fundraising for them is one small way I can repay the hope they gave me during my darkest moments.
Here’s how you can help:
- Spread awareness about endometriosis, so more people can find the validation and care they deserve 📢 📢
- Consider donating to EndoFound to support their life-changing work 🎁

Thank you for the support! And if you have an endo story to share, I'd love to hear it and support you right back.
I am very proud to announce that my pup and I have completed 150km for MS Society throughout October!
Last year, Taika and I raised £530 for Guide Dogs UK while walking 100km in October. With match funding, this became £1030 💛💙 This year we upped the stakes and walked 150km for MS Society throughout October.
Why?
• The money we raise will fund life-changing Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research and take us even closer to finally stopping MS.
• MS affects over 150,000 people in the UK.
• MS is a neurological condition that happens when the immune system attacks and damages the brain and spinal cord’s nerves by mistake.
• MS is the most common central nervous system condition that affects young adults.
• Everyone's MS is different so no two people, even if they’re closely related, will have the same type of symptoms, or have them as badly.
• There is no cure for MS yet.
Any donation will make a difference to the lives of people affected by MS. Here are just a few examples of what your money can do:
• £30 is enough to process one blood sample which could give researchers crucial information about genes and the immune system as they search for new treatments.
• £50 is enough to operate a high powered microscope for an hour to study cells and tissue affected by MS at the necessary resolution.
• £250 is enough to run an MRI scanner for an hour and provide the detailed images of the brain, crucial for understanding MS progression. MS Society are currently funding projects that use MRI scanners to carry out trials and understand MS in more detail.
If you’d like to help us reach our donation goal, please go to our justgiving page below. Thank you in advance 🧡

Congratulations to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx for securing a groundbreaking $1 billion donation from Dr. Ruth Gottesman this week!
A few things to keep in mind when making a major gift ask whether its for $5K or $500M:
1️⃣ Timing Matters: While some might speculate that the development team waited too long to make a $1 billion ask, it's crucial to understand that Dr. Gottesman’s husband passed away less than 2 years ago, leaving her $1 billion in Berkshire Hathaway stock.
Making such a significant request too soon after her husband's passing would have seemed insensitive.
2️⃣ Acknowledge Previous Commitments: Dr. Gottesman's 55-year commitment to the institution is profound. This latest donation isn't her first; she and her late husband established various initiatives, including the Ruth L. and David S. Gottesman Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Research.
When making a major gift ask of a longstanding donor, acknowledge their past and current pledges and commitments.
3️⃣ Consideration of Other Philanthropy: Dr. Gottesman's philanthropic journey spans nearly six decades. Her generosity underscores the transformative impact of philanthropy on advancing medical research and education. Dr. Gottesman contributed to countless nonprofit organizations throughout her life.
Keep in mind that she likely received and vetted asks from multiple nonprofit organizations that she supported over the last 60 years.
Shout out to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Development Team, along with past team members like Leah Burke, and many others who helped steward this relationship and enable this impactful donation.

Dear friends and supporters,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Graham, and I’m reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea. As some of you may know, I’ve been dealing with severe hip pain due to a medical condition that has significantly impacted my mobility and overall quality of life. Despite being a diabetic, I’ve relied on painkillers daily just to manage the discomfort.
Now, I find myself in a difficult situation. I need a hip replacement surgery as soon as possible to regain my independence and return to work. The pain has made it challenging for me to perform even basic tasks, and I long to be self-sufficient once again.
Why Crowdfunding?
I understand that crowdfunding campaigns can be met with skepticism, especially given my past experiences. I’ve tried several platforms, only to be disappointed and even ripped off. That’s why I’ve taken matters into my own hands this time. I’m managing my fundraising efforts directly, ensuring transparency and accountability.
How You Can Help:
Donate: If you’re able, please consider making a contribution to my campaign. Every dollar counts, and your generosity will bring me one step closer to the surgery I desperately need.
Spread the Word: Even if you can’t donate, you can still make a difference. Share my story with your friends, family, and colleagues. Social media, email, or a simple conversation—every share matters.
Compassion and Understanding: I know it’s not easy to ask for help, and I appreciate your empathy. There’s no shame in seeking assistance when faced with a medical crisis. Your support means the world to me.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and consideration. Together, we can make a significant impact on my journey toward healing. If you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to reach out.
With gratitude, Graham 🙏
P.S. Please disregard any previous negative experiences with crowdfunding platforms—I’m committed to ensuring that your support directly benefits my health and well-being. Let’s spread hope and compassion! 💙
