Podcasts are music to my mind. These are top 3 underrated podcasts: 🎬. The Best Parts by Swaddle - A film interview podcast where the host dissects the best parts of Indian movies with the people who made them. These are mostly women filmmakers who share what parts of their life informed their movies, the choice of characters, the reason a scene was chosen to be shown in a particular way etc. I love the episode with Zoya Akhtar on "Sona" - the character in Luck by Chance. I hadn't watched the movie until this podcast, I watched it after and enjoyed it even more. If you love a woman's lens in the world, you are sure to like this one! 😻. Uncultured by Stumble - This one is a pop culture podcast where the hosts talk about the pop culture moments - like Ambani's marriage, Zomato veg fleets, Taylorverse, Creator Economy and more. I love this one because there is a healthy banter between the hosts and it is an easy way to stay informed of what's going on in the internet world. If you love to have an opinion on what's going on, and what to keep yourself updated - this could be your choice after unwinding a day of work. 🧠 The Sid Warrier Podcast - Sid Warrier is a neuroscientist and a poet. He began hosting pods during the pandemic to explore his creative side. What I love about his pods are the variety of people he brings onboard and in discussions with them shares with the audience the possible reasons our brain does what it does. I love knowing the science behind what makes humans human, and Sid Warrier does a stupendous job at keeping it simple and yet not missing the nuance. If you love the human brain 🧠 like me and are a sucker for pure old good conversations - you could listen to this one over an evening walk and make notes on your phone app for good stuff that you came across. #podcasts

Have you ever wondered how changing a single word can change someone's experience? 🎙️ In this episode of The Purple Orange Podcast, Belle Owen and Dr. Ellen Fraser-Barbour dive deep into why language matters. Language is more than just words—it's a tool that shapes identity, influences perceptions, and can either empower or marginalise. From rejecting outdated terms to embracing identity-first language, Ellen and Belle share how their views on disability have evolved over the years and the impact of these shifts. Listen to their powerful conversation to learn how you can make meaningful changes with something as simple (and free!) as language.
