Last Thursday, Aureon hosted our final shareholder roundtable of the year and welcomed Iowa legislators to the Iowa Communications Alliance Broadband Briefing to discuss broadband expansion. Highlighting the significance of these gatherings, Aureon CEO Scott Behn shared: “Our roundtables are invaluable for aligning with stakeholders, while discussions with legislators are critical for shaping the future of broadband in Iowa. Together, these events help ensure communities remain connected and prepared for what’s ahead.” These events provided meaningful opportunities to share insights, strengthen partnerships, and align on the future of connectivity. We appreciate everyone’s contributions and look forward to continuing these vital conversations.

How can systems thinking really help us move beyond business as usual in the public sector and start to make much-needed changes happen from small local authorities up to national and international systems-level innovations? That's what we will be exploring at the first Si conference focusing on systems thinking/innovation in the public sector happening in just under two months hosted by the Si Governance Hub and Si London Hub The lineup of speakers is taking shape, take a look at this slide to see who is coming. You can find full event info and booking here: https://lnkd.in/ezzistvx About the event: Systems Innovation Public Sector Conference will be a unique in-person one-day gathering for systems thinkers, innovators, and change-makers in the public sector taking place in London on Feb 14th. Through a combination of presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and open spaces hosted by people working on systems innovation in the public sector, the event offers the opportunity to connect, discuss, and learn about the state of systems innovation in government today. Who should join The conference is for anyone working in or around government at all levels from local to national to international and across all departments for you to learn about a new set of ideas and approaches for tackling wicked challenges, while also making valuable new connections. This event is hosted by the Si Governance and London hub as we believe these "systems approach" now offer huge potential for really changing the way we do things in the public sector at a scale relevant to the most significant challenges we face as civil servants.

The South West looks very different today. We have - like a lot of the country - a different political landscape today, compared to yesterday, not only at a national government level, but also a big shift in local politics with big gains for Lib Dem’s across the Great South West, Labour in Cornwall, and the Green Party in central Bristol. With my Tech South West hat on, we’ll be looking to engage with each and everyone of them to ensure we encourage them to pull the levers needed to fuel the huge potential in tech we have across the region. Our new South West Tech Advisory Board has already held its first meeting, and our political advisor Robert Hillier is already working on our engagement plan. Each and every MP in the region will receive a hard copy of the South West Prospectus - which contains six clear asks from the new government and the region as a whole. Download your copy here: https://lnkd.in/eHTrijvA And next Tuesday (9th July) we have our Tech Leadership Summit 2024 at Engineers House in Bristol, sponsored by Acuity Associates, ISL Talent, Future Space - Bristol and Innovate UK South West Business Growth, where the Advisory Board will be joined by over 100 attendees to discuss the prospectus, and to agree the actions we can take to make things happen. You can join us and get involved in what is going to be a super interactive event! Get your ticket here: https://lnkd.in/e5EvEB4f Our Advisory Board consists of: Professor Andy Pardoe Toby Parkins Rav Bumbra Ben Cooper Rhona Munro David Ferguson Marcel Fowler James Blake Darran Marks Emily Hill Larry Mount Rob Passmore, FRSA Richard Potter Helen C. and Melanie Goward #LookSouthWest #TechInnovation #Sustainability #DeepTech #CreativeTech #TalentDevelopment #UKTech #FutureEconomy

Current work in the area of data science and AI happens primarily in large cities, which makes the production of research outcomes particularly relevant for people, algorithms, and complex systems located in large metropolitan areas. Yet, according to the United Nations, 3.4 billion people live in rural areas. These people are currently unable to enjoy the benefits of data-driven research as technologies, which work in large cities, but are not always operational, effective, and, most importantly, relevant, for regional communities. Our Executive Director Ganna Pogrebna is speaking to regional leaders on the value of digital twins, how they can increase efficiency, enhance decision making and optimise operations.

Innovative business Meet Pat is on a mission to deliver safe drinking water solutions while contributing to sustainable impact for people and the planet. 📝 Feeling overwhelmed by the new world of industrial relations?
