Cooling is the largest conversation currently. With the advance of server processors, GPUs, power supplies and density in the datacenter, there is a greater need for cooling conversations. There are many different options available and a bias on what to use based on the hardware those individuals support. I see the argument for on the chip cooling and everyone of the experts on processors and GPUs make the same statement. "On chip cooling is the most efficient option available on the market" What they do not do is finish that comment with "for the processor" or "for the GPU". There is a greater density in the servers as well as higher wattage power supplies to power these processors and GPUs. The solution moving forward is going to have to be a hybrid solution. Cooling door solutions will bring the rest of the hardware temperatures down in addition to the direct on the chip cooling. We can get into the technical details and justify the hardware and validate the performance but it does not align with the companies values. It is known that these increases are going to demand more power to run processors/GPUs, more cooling to maintain datacenters, higher network bandwidth with more robust switches and even more power needs from the grid for all of these. The concern of the company, the board, the CEO or the agency is can it be done and be sustainable. This is where cooling doors come into consideration. This solution will not use as much energy to cool, add a cooling solution that is scalable and work in conjunction with other methods to get the results and sustainability desired by all. These new environments are with cooling doors have eliminated large power hungry legacy cooling solutions. This reduces energy cost, maintenance cost while increasing power efficiency, cooling efficiency and sustainability messaging. Legrand Data Center Solutions has full capability of addressing any cooling needs. They have an extensive portfolio to cover what is best not only for the environment but for the sustainability of the solutions. The cooling door solutions are part of the next path in cooling. Working with ColdLogik by USystems and adding these solutions to the overall plan for the datacenter will allow faster growth and expansion for this new hardware. Reach out to your Dell Technologies Datacenter Team for more information on how ColdLogik by USystems is being engineered and implemented with Dell Technologies HPC/ML/AI solutions. ColdLogik by USystems is a validated solution with Dell Technologies and part of many projects currently deployed as well as those under design to be deployed.
🌟 Did you know that the heat your IT equipment generates equals the energy input? For example, a server receiving 1kW of power will produce 1kW of heat! Managing this heat is critical to keep your devices running efficiently, optimize performance, and cut costs. Choosing the right cooling solution is crucial for optimizing performance and reducing costs. Legrand provides market-leading cooling solutions tailored to your data center's needs, addressing the complex challenge of maintaining optimal temperatures for IT equipment. 👉 Please find out more and download our brochure today: https://lnkd.in/e3aQzDkK #DataCenters #Cooling #DataCenter
