Today, the Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation (MPRC) team conducted a workshop on the A2 Strategic Partnership initiative focusing on the creation of regional champion. The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) has opened up new markets for OGSE players, greatly expanding opportunities abroad for member countries. Alongside the growing market uncertainties from the ongoing energy transition, strategic partnerships have become essential to enhance the competitiveness and resilience of OGSE companies. Strategic partnerships will play a crucial role in navigating these challenges and positioning our industry for success in a rapidly evolving landscape. For some background and context, the OGSE Sector Strategic Partnership (previously known as A2: OGSE Industry Consolidation) is one of the 31 initiatives under the National OGSE Industry Blueprint 2021-2030 (OGSE Blueprint). The Technical and Steering Committee for the OGSE Sector Strategic Partnership Study was established in August last year, and the report was recently concluded and accepted in June this year. The objective of this Strategic Partnership study is to strengthen and improve the competitiveness and resilience of the Malaysian OGSE industry by encouraging strategic partnerships to create world-class Malaysian companies that can compete in the international market. One of the key recommendations of the study is ‘Creating Regional Champions,’ and today’s workshop focused on 1) Definition of Regional Champion 2) Key Success Factors 3) Measuring Success 4) Roles and Responsibilities of Key Stakeholders Thank you to SMJCorp, PETRONAS, MIDA, Ekuinas, SMECorp, IAP members, MOGSC, and MOSVA for attending and contributing. Your insights and collaboration are invaluable as we work towards a stronger, more competitive OGSE industry in Malaysia. My utmost appreciation to my team members Mohd Azad Mohd Azzam and Abdul Mutalib Ishak for organising and facilitating the session. Together, we can drive the Malaysian OGSE industry forward! We are delighted to join the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) as an associate member, a global alliance representing ports and key maritime stakeholders that are helping to tackle environmental challenges and drive innovation. Ports are the lifeblood of international trade, serving as essential gateways that connect nations, facilitate the movement of goods and enable economic growth worldwide. As a key player in global shipping, we are committed to driving innovation and sustainability across the industry. This partnership provides an unparalleled opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, collaborate with experts and explore emerging technologies that will shape the future of logistics and port management. The next decade will witness more transformation in the marine sector than it’s seen in the last century, and global alliances such as that of the IAPH are critical to delivering this change. Atlantis Tankers was well-represented by CTO Captain Farbod Assadpour at the 18th Annual GPCA Forum in Muscat, Oman, from December 2-5, 2024. This landmark event brought together over 2,600 industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators from 43 countries, focusing on the theme: "Industry’s Next Chapter: Driving Sustainable Advancement for Global Progress." The forum provided a vital platform to address challenges and opportunities within the chemical sector, emphasizing sustainability, innovation, energy transition, and building resilient supply chains. Discussions underscored the industry’s role in achieving global decarbonization goals while maintaining efficiency and profitability. Key insights were shared by global leaders, including H.E. Salim bin Nasser bin Said Al Aufi, Oman’s Minister of Energy and Minerals, alongside CEOs of major organizations such as Linde, W.R. Grace, Aramco, and ThyssenKrupp Uhde. Sessions like "Innovation – A Thrive-line for the Chemical Industry" and "Towards Sustainable Horizons" explored actionable strategies to embrace clean energy solutions, hydrogen, advanced materials, and circular economy initiatives. For Atlantis Tankers, the forum facilitated meaningful connections with industry peers, potential partners, and customers. These interactions offered opportunities to explore synergies between our sustainable shipping solutions, logistics expertise, and plans for future trading operations. Such engagements are integral to our growth strategy, especially as we expand our presence in the Middle East and Gulf regions. Appreciation goes to the GPCA organizers and sponsors for creating an environment that fosters collaboration, innovation, and forward-thinking. The knowledge and connections gained will serve as a foundation for advancing sustainable progress in both the chemical and shipping industries. Atlantis Tankers remains steadfast in turning these insights into actionable outcomes, driving a future that balances sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence. #GPCAForum #Sustainability #Innovation #AtlantisTankers #EnergyTransition #FutureOfShipping #ChemicalIndustry #GlobalProgress #PartnershipsForChange #SustainableGrowth

DCT willy nilly?...NO, is the short answer. DCT elements deployed in our clinical trials MUST be fit-for-purpose, and in the latest issue of Applied Clinical Trials I share some of my thoughts on this. #DCT #FitForPurpose #AppliedClinicalTrials #WhatMakesSense #FlexibilityForParticipants

Really interesting developments from PSA on the middle corridor and connecting Asia and Europe.
📢 Exciting developments are happening at KPMC Ltd., a joint venture between PSA International and Kazakhstan Railways National Company (KTZ), which manages Kazakhstan’s main railway network. 🚉 Established last year, #KPMC focuses on promoting the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (#TITR), a key trade link connecting Southeast Asia and China to Europe through Kazakhstan. We’re proud to explore new opportunities along this corridor, such as transporting hazardous goods ⚠️ and enhancing global trade flows, both westbound (from Asia to Europe) and eastbound (from Europe to China and Central Asia). #PSA is also looking at the growing importance of the Middle Corridor, as an alternative and faster trade route between China and Europe. As shareholder in DGT - Duisburg Gateway Terminal Terminal (DGT), Europe’s largest and greenest inland terminal, the teams engaged in a strategic workshop session to explore the role of #DGT in this evolving route by connecting Duisburg with Türkiye. KPMC and PSA are paving the way for the future of global trade, alongside! 🌍 #AlwaysAlongside #PSAEuroMed #TeamPSA

This is a solid set of articles from Applied Clinical Trials Magazine on #DecentralizedClinicalTrials #DCT. One this is for sure - the idea of Decentralized Methods working their ways into protocol designs is not going away. The key is now - what goals do they roll up to and what is the ROI for trial sponsors in addition to the benefit for sites and patients? While DCT is showing to reduce overall trial timelines by increasing access to more locations, it still does usually INCREASE study startup timelines -- which for those who are in charge of adoption, is the thing they are incentivized to shrink. Sadly -- some of the adoption issues are for sure related to "help us now, not 2 years from now." Bottom line - DCT is maturing and this is what we wanted! We are learning from failures. Props to those who dared to be first. #ClinicalTrials #Innovation #TheHardStuff #DigitalHealth Decentralized Trials & Research Alliance (DTRA)
