ACARA’s My School website has been updated for 2024 with the latest school-level NAPLAN data and new profile information on schools. My School gives parents and carers information about schools in their area, including on student and teacher numbers, attendance rates, income and expenditure, and NAPLAN results. It also provides principals and teachers with important insights into school performance. ACARA CEO Stephen Gniel said: “ACARA’s My School has detailed information on around 10,000 schools right across Australia. It’s the only website that provides parents, carers and the broader community with clear and transparent information on every Australian school.” Visit https://brnw.ch/21wPaAa for more details and read about this update in our media release: https://brnw.ch/21wPaAb

He's having some adjustments made to help him, in line with his EHCP. Are any other primary schools still doing this? What adjustments are being made to help the children succeed? 📗🍀 #Year2sats #flourisheducation #supplyteaching

We recently developed this brief video to demystify school funding. While it does a good job of explaining the basics, here’s a quick summary. School funding has two main parts: a base amount per student and disadvantage loadings that address students’ needs. Together, these form the Schooling Resource Standard (SRS), which is the total funding a school receives for their students’ needs. For government schools, the SRS is funded jointly by the Federal and State governments. In non-government schools, governments cover only part of the base amount—based on parents' income—and all of the loadings. The higher the parents' income, the lower the SRS funding provided by governments. Check out our video for a visual breakdown that makes it all clear! 🎥

Out of a total of 40,978 schools in Sindh, 5159 are shelterless. Furthermore, 36225 schools are primary schools, of which 60 per cent consist of just one or two rooms, many of which lack basic facilities such as toilets, drinking water and electricity. Given this dire state of school buildings, how can the province justify a 50 per cent underutilization of its budget? Where does one even begin to address this issue? ???
