James Garnett, who managed the second phase of the DfE’s Edtech demonstrator programme in 2021/22, is conducting some research into the state of technology in schools and colleges. This survey (https://lnkd.in/eaW_Xt32) aims to gather information about the technology in schools and colleges, and the connectivity they have internally and to the internet. This survey is the less technical version of two companion surveys aimed at teaching and leadership staff and should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. Thrilled to share my debut experience competing in the English speech competition hosted by UNY in 2021. The theme delved into the indispensable role of young administrators amidst the backdrop of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Society 5.0. As a first-time participant, I embraced the opportunity to articulate insights on navigating the evolving landscape of administrative skills within these transformative eras. My speech aimed to shed light on the pivotal skills required of modern administrators to thrive in an era marked by technological advancements and societal shifts. Addressing the convergence of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0, I emphasized the importance of adaptability, digital literacy, and human-centric approaches in shaping the future of administrative practices. Drawing upon research, personal experiences, and forward-thinking perspectives, I delivered a compelling narrative that resonated with the audience and judges alike. Participating in this competition was not just about showcasing my speaking abilities, but also about engaging in meaningful discourse on topics crucial to our collective future. It was a transformative experience that sharpened my communication skills and deepened my understanding of the intersection between administration, technology, and society. Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the dialogue on such pertinent issues, I look forward to further refining my abilities and making meaningful contributions to the field of administration in the digital age.
