Lesson 3 Blue Stage: Themed Stations Any sports coach who has worked with the under 4 market knows all too well that attention span could play havoc on a lesson. Having 2-3 minute stations with different themes and story’s at each one keeps the young players engaged. A sport with no referees?! 🥏 Earlier this year my roommate introduced me to Ultimate Frisbee and here’s what I found surprising: even at the most competitive level, the sport is self-regulated. This system is guided by the “spirit of the game,” a core principle set by the sport’s governing body that emphasizes fair play and integrity. With low barriers to entry and a culture that resonates with Gen Z, Ultimate has become one of the fastest-growing sports boasting roughly 7 million players in over 80 countries. Yet, despite the growing popularity, virtually all of the current players have regular jobs because even the largest pro ultimate league (AUDL) does not pay enough to live on.
