First of their kind tests are being developed to address two biothreats with BARDA funding through the Rapid Response Partnership Vehicle. Under this project, we are supporting InBios International’s development of a test for Burkholderia pseudomallei and OraSure’s test for Marburg. We anticipate that these diagnostics will use platforms that allow for rapid development and enhance our domestic manufacturing capabilities for diagnostics to address biothreats. https://lnkd.in/ecmevyUa

Last week was very full for NeoVentures globally! Gregory and Ximena participated in partnering meetings at #BioEurope Spring in Barcelona in three areas. ☑ New partnerships for aptamer projects for NVB Canada ☑ Pilot projects for Aptamarker projects with NVB Europe ☑ Kick-off of round A investment for NVB Europe (10M €) We were very pleased with the quality and enthusiasm of everyone we met with. This was a highly productive conference for us, and the food in Barcelona is always wonderful. Cole Drake participated virtually in the #Aptamer Conference in Oxford. We sponsored travel budgets for students globally to attend this meeting in person. We learned a lot from advances in #aptamerscience by leading labs (and friends) throughout the world. We remain convinced that our reinvention of #aptamerdevelopment with our #neomer libraries represents the next generation of aptamers (to learn more please visit www.neoaptamers.com). Jeremie Thiblet presented the NVB Europe opportunity to over 70 investors and companies in Paris. Our pitch was well received and we will be following up with several groups. A key success has been our ability to develop aptamers as #drugdelivery vectors by selecting them for the capacity to induce #endocytosis. Another area of extensive discussion has been our successful application of aptamers in affinity columns for purification of small #molecules as well as very large entities.

CONTENT NEWS FROM REPO4EU REPO4EU has first results on mechanism-based #biomarkers on an epidemiological level collaborating with the BBMRI-ERIC member, Estonian #Biobank, and cellular proof-of-concept for a new #network #pharmacology concept in #cancer. The REPO-HYPER II trial in mechanism-based subtype in #resistant #hypertension is scheduled to start in 2024. Reimbursement for innovative theranostics repurposing several registered drugs remains a challenge. We have submitted our application for a feasibility study to convert REPO4EU into REPOSystem, a permanent European research infrastructure. And last not least, our RexPo‘24 conference in Munich will kick off July 3rd. Abstracts can be submitted as of last week.
