To address complexity within the urban spaces, we need a more holistic approach to understanding cities. Rather than breaking down issues into isolated parts, we must focus on the interconnected systems, understanding the networks, structures, and overall functioning of cities as one large whole. By developing the capacity to view cities as dynamic, complex systems, we can begin to identify opportunities for change that lead to more resilient, adaptive, and sustainable urban environments.
