Say hello to Avathon for Good. With the new program, Avathon is bringing its Industrial AI platform to nonprofit agencies around the world to empower them with computer vision and other industrial AI technologies that create safer, more connected schools, hospitals and cities. Avathon advisor Tessy Antony-de Nassau, who has a rich history of philanthropy, is helping spread the promise of Industrial AI to the nonprofit sector. “Avathon for Good shows us that AI can be used to create beneficial, lasting change in our communities,” she said. How? Take education as an example: Avathon’s AI technology utilizes a school’s existing camera infrastructure to proactively detect everything from a weapon to an open door, unauthorized access, or even a fire. In the healthcare space, hospitals use computer vision for safety and security, but can also look to the technology to ensure proper procedures and protocols are followed. Avathon’s computer vision AI also has a range of safety, security and situational awareness use cases tailored to state and local governments. Mixing business and philanthropy with programs like Avathon for Good enables Tessy to show companies all over the world that doing good doesn’t have to impact the bottom line. “I have always seen a very strong synergy between business and philanthropy; there’s always a way of leveraging both sides for good that brings both shareholder value and benefits for the community.” Avathon CEO Pervinder Johar echoes that sentiment: “Tessy’s expert guidance through the nonprofit world, combined with her philanthropic spirit and rich history of charitable giving, will ensure that Avathon for Good stands as a true commitment to transforming how organizations create safe spaces and connect with their communities." When I started my journey with AI and data product management, I wished there was an organized path to learn the needed materials for a PM in the field. this was the leading thought that pushed Erez Shilon and myself to create the #AI4PMs course back in 2022. Thank you Give & Tech, מוצרלה | Mozzarella, Ron Weiner and especially Keren Katz and Or Hay for making the 2nd, improved version of it come to life. I am proud to be a part of this initiative that helps seasoned PM's with their professional growth. but more importantly, makes an actual impact in the world💪 #social #donation #data #machinelearning #impact #ai
Product, leading Security Detection @ Apex Security AI, former CEO & founder, Deep Tech manager, Software Architect , Software Developer
Last week, we celebrated the beginning of the #AI4PMs journey with a donation of 66,900 NIS to charity! After evaluating tens of great candidates, we selected an amazing team of 21 students to join us on this AI journey, boasting an average of 6 years of experience as product managers and with 50% of the students being women(!). I extend deep gratitude to those who made it possible: Ron Weiner and Erez Shilon, who lead of Give & Tech, Or Hay - my amazing partner leading this initiative, and our champion team of lecturers: Shelly Shmurack Avi Luski Nir Solomon Ofer Egozi Oren Saban David Columbus Dan Michlin Tomer Simon Roy Leiser Ran Romano Dr. Jacob Greenshpan Hadas Sheinfeld Shira Weinberg Harel. Special thanks to Shelly Shmurack for the opportunity to collaborate with מוצרלה | Mozzarella in this initiative, and for delivering an outstanding first session on what it means to be an AI PM! A huge thank you to Sygnia and its incredibly generous leadership for supporting this initiative, allowing us to host our first meetup at my second home. Thank you to Nimrod Margalit Ori Naishtein, Mariana Rechister, Noa Benari, Techiya Sobel, Nir Elimelech, Lital Mizrahi, Idit Moore Tawil, and Sapir Dror Valtzer #AI #Productmanagement Daniel N.

I admittedly struggle with articles like this, but it's important to consider why. Yes, the speed of AI poses real danger to nonprofits and society at large. Yes, we do need to keep "humans in the loop", as the author concludes. But the sweeping influence of AI is not an existential option for nonprofits. We won't get to choose whether we dive into the world of AI or we don't. So the path forward is not rueing the loss of philanthropy of old, but harnessing new opportunities for technology to make a meaningful difference in organizations. "We're not going back," as they say. And why should we? The nonprofit sector continues to grow. Giving is at record highs. Impact is increasingly easy to measure and demonstrate. Bring on the future, wisely! https://lnkd.in/gdePeGmN

When most people think of #AI, images of #SiliconValley come to mind. What many don’t think about though, is the profound impact AI can have on helping #nonprofits, including #universities, achieve their missions. To help amplify AI's impact even further, adding a human in the loop can be an effective way to help nonprofits not only remove hallucinations but also to constantly improve AI’s ability to achieve our desired outcomes. AI is not destined to remove humans from the equation, but to provide us with additional superpowers to do what we do best-- to care for one another. It's time to wake up if you're not dedicating time each month to AI! Prove us wrong. 💡 In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, any charity that isn’t actively carving out time every single month to enhance their understanding and skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) is, frankly, asleep on the job. 😴 Sounds harsh? Let’s talk about it. Remember the mid-2000s, when the internet was booming, and yet, some organisations brushed it off as a fad? Fast forward to today, and it’s clear that those who ignored the digital wave have had to play a long, hard game of catch-up. We’re at a similar crossroads with AI. 🚀 It's not just about futuristic robots or complex algorithms; it’s about leveraging technology to make smarter decisions, streamline operations, and ultimately, maximise the impact of charitable work. AI can transform how charities operate, from automating administrative tasks 📊, personalising donor communications 💌, to predicting fundraising trends 🔮. It’s about doing more with less, being more efficient, and connecting with supporters in ways we could only imagine a few years ago. Not investing time to understand AI is akin to saying you’re okay with falling behind, okay with not harnessing the full potential of your charity. It’s a bold statement, we know. But the truth is, embracing AI is no longer optional for those looking to lead in the charity sector. It’s an essential part of staying relevant, efficient, and impactful. So, here’s our challenge to you: If you believe dedicating time to AI isn’t worth it for charities, prove us wrong! 💬 We’re here for the debate and genuinely interested in different perspectives. But one thing is for certain—the future of charity work is digital, and AI is a huge part of that future. Don’t let your charity get left behind. #CharityTech #AIForGood #NonProfitInnovation #DigitalTransformation #TechForCharity #FutureOfFundraising #InnovationInCharity

In a recent poll, many of you selected "Education" as an ideal primary issue of philanthropic focus in an AI-driven world. George Mason University professor of economics Tyler Cowen suggests several areas in philanthropy that will likely experience high returns from the rise of AI. One of these is the matter of increasing AI adoption in developing countries. For example, poorer countries could benefit significantly from AI-provided translation, legal, or diagnostic services in schools, municipal offices, or healthcare offices. AI will also enable more individuals, or small groups of individuals, to run highly ambitious projects in the service of philanthropic outcomes, he argues. "The productivity of small groups of people who are very good at directing AIs will go up by an order of magnitude," he writes in Bloomberg. Check out the article to read more about areas of philanthropy that AI will likely help advance: https://lnkd.in/gCq8eqb2 AI and other forms of digital transformation will doubtless play a huge role in policymaking over the next century. Our upcoming programme "Robust Policy Design in Times of Crisis" aims to equip leaders and decision-makers with the skills and frameworks they need to create effective, resilient policies during periods of uncertainty and disruption. We'd love to walk this new world with you: https://lnkd.in/g3C8fvMY
