🇮🇳🇩🇪 Germany's partner of the future is India - read this and join if you want to shape the collaboration between the two countries 💥
🇩🇪 Over the past five years, the number of Indian workers in Germany has tripled to around 116,000, primarily in high-demand sectors, esp. Tech and Healthcare. This influx is alleviating the skills shortage and is expected to grow further with the migration agreement between India and Germany started by Ampel Regierung last year.
🇮🇳 In the last decade, migration from India has significantly increased, placing India as the 5th highest net migration source (40.5k+) to Germany, surpassing EU countries like Poland and Romania.
📊 As of end of 2023, approximately ~240k Indian nationals were residing in Germany, with states like Berlin hosting a sizable Indian community, mainly comprising students and professionals. Asylum applications from India remain minimal, highlighting the migration's focus on education and employment opportunities.
🌏 Meanwhile, reflecting on India's impactful leadership during the G20 Summit, German politicians across parties emphasize India's rightful place at the global table and the resonance of its influence worldwide. A success that made Biden, Scholz, and Macron realise that India is a global player that has potential to be the main partner for a liberal world supporting a sustainable future.
☀️ The CCPI - Climate Change Performance Index ranks India on #7 as highest ranking G20 nation, before Germany (#14), France (#37), and the US (#57) evaluating its ambition to protect the climate.
💪🏾 India finally got a seat at the big table. India has gained power and it will continue to do so.
It's maybe more important than ever to strengthen Indo-German relations. I am happy to have been part of the Indo-German Young Leaders Forum and to have been contributing to it since its inception in 2016.
The team held conferences in Berlin and New Delhi in 2017, 2018, and 2019 pre-pandemic and was even mentioned as the only non-governmental initiative fostering Indo-German collaboration among young professionals in the joint statement between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chancellor Angela Merkel in 2017!
The forum successfully re-established itself post pandemic with a conference in Bengaluru in 2023 with amazing partners like Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India and Bosch India. Together with Global Bridges, the team will probably organise the largest and most exciting conference till date.
🔥 It will take place in Berlin from September 12-15! 🔥
The application window for the next conference is closing next weekend! Needless to say, I think it's a fantastic and enriching experience to be part of the conference and a growing support base for the Indo-German community which is willing to make sure both countries learn from each other as much as possible.

Cybercrime Trends: A Tale of Two Nations 🇮🇳🇩🇪
In the realm of cybersecurity, vigilance is key. Recent data reveals intriguing insights into cybercrime landscapes in both India and Germany.
🇮🇳 India: Cybercrime complaints surged by 61% in 2023, reflecting a significant challenge. However, proactive measures like the Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System (CFCFRMS) and the '1930' financial cyber fraud helpline saved Rs 1,127 crore, showcasing the power of timely intervention. Despite facing delays in restitution, efforts are underway to streamline processes, with legal frameworks evolving to expedite recovery. Moreover, international cooperation is paramount, with 40-50% of complaints involving actors from abroad, particularly China, Cambodia, and Myanmar.
🇩🇪 Germany: The threat level remains high, with cybercrimes by foreign perpetrators rising by 28% in 2023, continuing a concerning trend. Notably, Russian hackers have been implicated in attacks, underscoring the severity of the situation. However, Germany stands firm in its resolve to protect democracy and support global cybersecurity efforts.
Both nations are leveraging advanced techniques and collaboration between law enforcement agencies and organizations to combat cyber threats. By fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and implementing robust defense mechanisms, India and Germany are poised to navigate the digital landscape with resilience and determination.

"Theek hai thoda galat hua hai, lekin sochiye Congress hoti to aur kitna zyada galat ho sakta tha" is a standard response to any unpleasant happening under the BJP.
This is like someone sIapping you and, if you complain, they say, "Maine to ek hi maara hai, socho koi doosra hota to 2-3 bhi maar sakta tha," and then expect you to smile.
Congress theek nahi thi, tabhi to baar baar aapko laaye hain. People expect BJP to be a better version of themselves, not a better version of Congress.#Incometax#budget#middleclass
