Training is the lifeline of safety in aviation facilities. From technicians to air traffic controllers, proper training equips aviation professionals with the skills to identify potential hazards, implement preventive measures, and respond effectively in case of emergencies. Ignoring the importance of training can lead to serious consequences, risking not only the safety of personnel but also the integrity of critical aviation infrastructure. Let's invest in comprehensive training programs to empower our aviation workforce and safeguard our skies. Together, we can ensure that electrical safety remains a top priority in every aspect of aviation operations. https://lnkd.in/eg7jtS2d #AviationSafety #ElectricalSafety #TrainingMatters

🛫 An effective SMS contains the following elements: ◾ Understanding the problem “What is wrong” – (hazard identification) ◾ Developing a solution “How to fix the issue” – (remedial action) ◾ Ensuring effective resolution of the problem “Has the fix worked” – (continuous monitoring) ◾ The ability to change & improve “Ensuring both effectiveness and efficiency” – (continuous improvement) 📚 SAS considers the primary aspects of Safety Management Systems (SMS) integration within an EASA Part 145 organisation - Check out our blog here: https://lnkd.in/dX5XbBhR ⭐ This blog is a part of our Safety Month Celebration that provides 20% off on our Aviation Safety courses and a special Webinar Workshop that will take place on 23 May - Benefit before the end of this month: https://lnkd.in/dF_aVeaM #aviationsafety #safetymanagementsystems #part145

SMS (safety management system) isn't something "new", generally speaking this anticipated update to FAR Part 5 is a broader expansion and mandate for it by the FAA to ensure the proven benefits of effective SMS are more consistently leveraged across sector. Leading operators have been adopting and evolving their SMS for many years - for example, one of our long-time clients Jet Logistics, Inc. was one of the very first US FAA-certificated Part 135 operators to adopt IBAC IS-BAO certification and advance to Stage 3, which coincided with their achievement of other more demanding and independent audit processes like US Department of Defense CARB approval. In our professional opinion, ANY legitimate safety-first focused private or commercial operator should be conducting (and continuously advancing) a qualified SMS and related safety process.
Certain aircraft manufacturers and Part 135 on-demand charter and commuter operators will need to implement a safety management system in the coming years.
