Fallujah Iraq and Gaza In late 2004 the US military attacked the insurgents in Fallujah, Iraq. The US military encircled the city, and prevented any male from age 15 to 50 to leave the city. Around 30 to 50 thousand civilians were trapped in the city, while the battle lasted around 6 weeks. Fast forward to 2024. Twenty years later, the US administration pressures Israel not to attack the city of Rafah in South Gaza, before letting all civilians out of the city. What is the difference between Fallujah and Rafah? Are civilian Iraqis less guarded that civilian Gazans? Or, maybe the US administration today uses different standard in urban warfare for Israel than it used for the US military in Iraq? Anyone has an answer?

Military raids in Iraq usually involve special operations forces though the CENTCOM statement did not specify what forces were used in the operation. There are still 2,500 American troops in Iraq on a train and advise mission to help Iraqi military forces against ISIS. Earlier this year the United States and Iraq began discussions about a possible reduction in the role of the international military coalition assisting Iraq that could see a reduction in U.S. forces.

🤡According to Russian #propaganda, an ordinary paratrooper is somehow aware of the intentions of the country’s highest military-political leadership, including what was planned and the ultimate goals. You may have heard about the new information and psychological campaign aimed at discrediting the soldiers of the 80th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). I would like to elaborate on some of #Russia's objectives, which may not be obvious to everyone: 1. When faced with elite UAF units like the 80th Brigade, Russian troops are losing combat effectiveness and surrendering en masse, emphasizing their weakness on the battlefield. 2. Russia is using an information campaign to intimidate the local population and push them toward supporting Russian forces by creating a negative image of Ukrainian soldiers. 3. Unable to win a traditional war, Russia is turning to asymmetric methods, such as information operations, to stop the advance of Ukrainian troops and lower their morale. 4. Russia is trying to influence the international community in order to discredit Ukraine and Western support for #Kyiv. #Kursk #disinformation
#Russia has already lost as much territory in a week as it captured in 2024❗️ This further motivates Russian forces to engage in information and psychological campaign aimed at discrediting Ukrainian military. In this case, it discrediting the soldiers of the 80th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). #disinformation #StopRussia #Kursk

𝐁𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 . The American war in Afghanistan led to the deaths of 46,319 confirmed Afghan civilians and approximately 53,000 opposition fighters. This results in a ratio of 0.89 confirmed civilian deaths per enemy death. In Gaza, about 12,000 Hamas terrorists (according to Israel) were killed, and approximately 12,686 identified civilians (according to the UN) were also killed. This represents an (almost equal) ratio of 1.05 confirmed civilian deaths per enemy death. While every civilian death is a tragedy, why is Biden holding Israel to a higher standard than the U.S. holds itself to? In the video, we see an Afghan child who was severely wounded along with the rest of his family due to the U.S. war in Afghanistan. It is worth noting that the war also led to the deaths of 2,324 U.S. military personnel, 3,917 U.S. contractors, 1,144 allied troops, and 70,000 Afghan military and police.

Eran Salmon Iranian leaders emphasize that the transition of Afghanistan to the control of the Taliban and Al Qaeda, illustrated to the world that with patience and perseverance, nothing is impossible. -- Memorial Day 2024 - The World Weeps. https://lnkd.in/eyE7PseS Afghanistan key to 90% of the Worlds Opium Supply 111,000 overdose deaths in the United States (2023) viewed as historical milestone from Afghanistan and terrorist groups that supported the planning and coordination of the 911 attacks, making the 3000 killed (+10,000 from cancer associated hazardous materials exposures because Manhattan was not declared a hazmat emergency), a small accomplishment in comparison. The Taliban and Al-Qaeda looked upon the illegal narcotics trade as a way of fighting Western countries by draining their resources when they tried to fight an endless and unwinnable battle against the Drug Lord's and Taliban and Al-Qaeda network that covered the whole Middle-East and beyond. In businesses, if you had ONE goal, ONE target, ONE way to measure your work and you totally failed, would you even attempt to propose continuing next year? Now take the UN...The attached video shows Hezbollah’s well-fortified underground bunkers, just meters away from a UNIFIL and military post. Right under the noses of UNIFIL soldiers, Hezbollah has been constructing these military fortifications, which overlook Israel’s northern towns and are poised for assaults. UNIFIL witnessed everything and stopped nothing. This is why Israel needs to have control and not depend on others who best-case scenario don't care and worst-case scenario are happy with another Oct 7.

American-led military ‘victories’ (?) in recent history: Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan … and now, in America’s footsteps, Gaza? The IDF has clearly adopted the military command policy of its US sponsors: ready, fire, aim. If – not a high-probability scenario, I’ll admit – the rift between the Prime Minister and the IDF tears open the fabric of Israeli civilian support for either or both of the institutions they represent, this could potentially lead to civil strife within Israel. Please recall that, before the gruesome Hamas attacks of 7th October and subsequent events, IDF reservists were declining to show up for regularly scheduled training and routine exercises. Israeli society was already cleft over Natanyahu’s shameless power grab – i.e., trying to steal the march by proposing draft legislation to make ‘minor adjustments' to the relationship between the Knesset (including the prime minister of the party in power) and the Supreme Court. Popular sentiments of anger and mistrust could easily boil over if the rift between the prime minister’s coalition war cabinet and the IDF as a power base widens. https://lnkd.in/d8FBCBe5
