Dear network, Amidst the difficult news that has been impacting Rio Grande do Sul in recent days, I would like to share something of extreme importance and urgency with you all. Floods have devastated entire communities, leaving families without homes, belongings, and, in many cases, without hope. It is in times like these that our solidarity and empathy become crucial. Therefore, I'm here to share the link to a fundraiser that has been initiated to help these families rebuild their lives. Every contribution, no matter how small it may seem, makes a significant difference. Let's come together, let's extend our hands and our hearts to those who need it most. Together, we can bring a ray of hope to these affected communities. The link to the fundraiser is here https://lnkd.in/eWYDT_cA. In this challenging time, let us maintain strength and faith. With love, solidarity, and action, we can overcome any adversity. I count on you all. Warm regards, Fernando Amidst the floods that have inundated Rio Grande do Sul, we raise this channel of hope. A historic flood has left a trail of destruction, carrying away not only homes and belongings but also dreams and aspirations. Now, more than ever, these families need our support, which is why we are opening this donation channel. Every penny raised will be carefully channeled in the form of direct donations of furniture and appliances to the families of São Leopoldo, one of the hardest-hit by this tragedy. https://gofund.me/a35514a7

First and foremost, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by Hurricane Helen. For those looking to help, please take this important step first: Verify that the organization you intend to donate to is legitimate. Many scammers exploit such crises to take advantage of generous donations. To confirm the credibility of a charity, visit these three websites: - IRS.gov - CharityNavigator.org - GuideStar.org These resources will give you the information you need. If the organization isn't well-known, take the time to research them before making a donation! #HurricaneHelen #DisasterRelief #SupportSurvivors #GiveBack #CharityCheck #HelpHurricaneVictims #DonorAwareness #LegitCharities #DisasterAid #CommunitySupport

Hurricane Helene has devastated parts of the southeastern United States, especially northwestern North Carolina, northwestern South Carolina and eastern Georgia. We are keeping all the YMCAs affected in those regions, your staff, and your communities in our thoughts and prayers. ❤️ If you want to help, there are a few immediate ways to do so: Contribute to the Employee Assistance Fund, which provides financial aid to Y staff in need after natural disasters and other crises. Staff who have been impacted can apply for support at this same link https://bit.ly/4dyxsq6 Donate to the Hurricane Helene Relief Fund. Y-USA has created this centralized relief fund and will work with Alliance leaders to distribute donations to YMCA associations that need them most, to aid near-term efforts to get damaged facilities back up and running and to support long-term recovery. https://bit.ly/3N75s2c

We grow for good. It’s a core value at our company. We want to be the best, but we want to do a lot of good along the way. Watching this hurricane coverage? Worried about the people you know? What are you doing to help? There are plenty of amazing organizations out there, but the Guaranteed Rate Foundation will be matching every dollar donated with another dollar with 100% of the donations going directly to helping and rebuilding. All expenses of the foundation are covered by the company and all donations go directly to those who need it. You donate $100 and it automatically becomes $200 with the match. Can’t donate? Please share Rate.com/growforgood

This shows how place and care for peoples, teams and communities are embedded in the Sibelco strategy.
Today, we're announcing the establishment of the Sibelco Spruce Pine Foundation to provide long-term support for the Spruce Pine community, following the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene. As part of this initiative, we are making an immediate $1 million donation as seed funding for the Sibelco Spruce Pine Foundation. “We are committed to supporting the communities where we operate, and this donation reflects our dedication to the Spruce Pine area,” said Sibelco CEO Hilmar Rode. “Through the Sibelco Spruce Pine Foundation, we aim to ensure that our contributions have a lasting impact.” Read more, https://lnkd.in/daU_445A #WeAreSibelco #SprucePine #HPQ #CommunitySupport

Are you trying to figure out how to Help Western North Carolina or other areas hit by Hurricane Helene? I am too. I think donating locally is a better choice if you can find reputable sites to drop off supplies. A lot of work is being done by volunteers and corporations. When giving, suggest you be careful and vet those to make sure you are giving to an organization that will get families the help they need. If you know you can get through to Asheville or other areas and plan to take supplies to donate, here are few items to consider taking. All of those Lysol wipes/spray, hand sanitizer, and paper supplies you bought during COVID--that your family can spare.

Update: Convoy Of Hope is working on mobilizing more semi trucks of relief supplies to Carolinas. Below is a breakdown of how every donation at any level helps bring relief and hope. Not everyone is able to donate funds…that’s ok. Please keep them in your prayers. If we all join together as we are able, we can make a difference in the lives of many. $10 helps provide essential relief supplies to a family of four. $15 helps create a family hygiene kit. $33 helps provide essential relief supplies to a family of four for a day. $50 helps provide a relief bucket. $225 helps provide essential relief supplies to a family of four for a week. $30,000 helps send a semi truck to a disaster site. (One semi trailer carries an average of $90,000 worth of relief supplies to a disaster zone.) Donate here: https://lnkd.in/grNsJ2eW
