If a move to the country is being driven by the desire for more space, both indoor and outdoor, then Sevenoaks and the Weald of Kent are an ideal option to achieve the balance. Properties in Sevenoaks and the surrounding villages offer incredible opportunities for spacious living and if this is high on your agenda I can prioritise on and off-market properties where there is already a great synergy between in and outdoors. I also have many local industry contacts - architects, builders, landscape artists- who can create this balance if it doesn’t already exist. I do, however, also know that not everybody wants a large garden. For those clients, I can focus my search in areas where you have access to nature on your doorstep, so you benefit from all the joy of the great outdoors without the burden of maintenance. Finally, if you aren’t sure how much space you’d like yet, I can help you narrow down what is right for you. In all cases, the best place for us to start is a DM or email. #homefinder #propertysearch #propertysearchagent #sevenoaks #kent

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝗸𝘆𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿? 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲. Tall, high-rise, skyscraper, supertall, megatall crazy tall – you’d be forgiven for feeling confused. We often use these terms interchangeably when describing structures that are notable for their height, but there is in fact a difference between buildings which just happen to be tall and true “skyscrapers”. The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) in fact defines four categories – Tall Buildings, Skyscrapers, Supertall Skyscrapers and Megatall Skyscrapers. Check out this insightful article and video from The B1M to discover the difference between them. (link in comments)

Architectural Digest (AD) recently published an article entitled "The 11 Most Beautiful Neighborhoods in the World". Of these eleven, AD noted only one US location - Carmel, CA - which technically is not just a neighborhood but a town (see the full list in the link below). What struck me about AD's list is how many of these beautiful neighborhoods they listed are, in fact, mixed-use areas. "Neighborhood" in this sense is more than just residential. It includes homes of all types located within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and other local destinations. Beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder, and you may feel that many beautiful neighborhoods may have been left off this list. So other than Carmel, are there any other US neighborhoods which you believe should have landed on AD's list? I can think of more than a few.

#FantastyFriday – because it’s never not fun to travel virtually to end the week! This month, with the spring season getting underway, a focus on nature! Borrowed from architecturaldigest.com, these structures take the term back to nature to another level. 📷 Photo: Dan Chavkin . Though there are midcentury era homes scattered throughout the world, the biggest collection is in Palm Springs. Case in point: the Frey II house. Named for the Palm Springs local who designed it, U.S. architect Albert Frey, the home served as his longtime residence. He built it into the hillside at the west end of Tahquitz Canyon Way. As its name implies, Frey House II was the architect’s second home in Palm Springs, and he moved in when it was finished in 1964. . #fantasyfriday #rikdevoest #yvrrealtor #northvancouver #vancouver #westvancouver #vancity #northvan #britishcolumbia #vancouverrealestate #vancouverrealtor #vancouver #realestate #yvrrealestate #realtor #yvr #vancouverhomes #realestatevancouver #vancitybuzz #realestateagent #bcrealestate #westvancouverhomes #realtorlife #property #realestatemarket #exprealty
