flaxbot joined the Microsoft for Startups (Microsoft founders hub) in late September. We started working out how to move data and running processes without downtime. I will be honest, it's my first time moving large data and running processes to an entirely different cloud services, but I am not doing it alone... I have good team members. My team and I will be moving 80% of our data and active processes from AWS to Azure 😊. It has always been Amazon Web Services (AWS) all the way, with a combination of smaller private cloud. Well, when you are bootstrapping you will understand that every support means a lot.... I mean a whole lot 🤣, and flaxbot has found one with Microsoft as they open doors to many founders. My experience with AWS Activate across multiple startups has been a game-changer for us. Here’s how it generally works: 👉  Bootstrapped: Startups can receive $1,000 in free AWS credits.  👉 VC-backed: Startups with VC backing can get up to $100,000 if their VC is an AWS partner. Thanks to our investors, who are part of this network, we could take full advantage of these credits. We’ve used them to refine our solutions without worrying about the initial infrastructure costs 😉  But of course, there’s always something to worry about 😅 you always have to keep track of your spending. Some benefits I would highlight: Provides access to over 200 AWS services, including machine learning, databases, and storage. We’ve mostly been taking advantage of their powerful machine learning tools. Includes $350 in Developer Support credits. Now, they can also be used for AI models through Amazon Bedrock. … Some members even got up to $800,000 in offers from AWS partners like MongoDB and HubSpot. 🚀 Amazon is doubling AWS credits for some startups! 🌟 Starting July 1, startups that raised a Series A in the past year can get $200,000 in AWS credits through the Activate program, up from $100,000! 🌐 Seed-stage startups still get $100,000 in credits. 💡 AWS' new CEO, Matt Garman, is meeting with founders in Silicon Valley, emphasizing AI as a key focus. 🤖 The $200,000 credits will now expire in three years instead of one. 🗓️ Amazon's AWS, a leader with $25 billion in revenue, is facing competition from Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, both growing rapidly thanks to advanced AI models. 📈 Microsoft offers startups $350,000 in Azure credits and GPU access, while AWS has a new 10-week generative AI accelerator program with up to $1 million in cloud credits. 💰 Amazon also hired David Luan, co-founder of AI startup Adept, and licensed Adept’s agent technology and datasets. 🧠 #AWS #Startups #AI #CloudComputing #Innovation #TechNews #Amazon #Microsoft #Google
