If you look under the hood, most asset managers have a policy of maximizing returns at each portfolio company they manage. But is that really the right approach for most investors? The Shareholder Commons points out that diversified investors are interested in maximizing their portfolio's overall returns, and to accomplish that, you have to manage the costs that some companies are imposing on the systems that all companies depend on for their financial health. We think this approach will resonate with a lot of investors out there, and we're excited to collaborate with The Shareholder Commons to offer an easy way for investors to incorporate the systems-first framework into a voting policy on iconik. We've just launched Portfolios on the Ballot 2024 (POTB), the first publication specifically designed to help investors vote their proxies on a systems-first basis. POTB flags initiatives that protect the social and environmental systems that support diversified portfolio value. Check out the report and access a table where you can find upcoming annual meetings involving #SystemStewardship initiatives here: https://lnkd.in/ecu2dC66 #FiduciaryDuty #ProxyVoting
