A Day-in-the-Life Story: Overcoming Challenges in Building Electrical Panels and Motor Installation "As an electrical technician, I've faced my share of challenges on the job. One project that comes to mind is when our team was tasked with building electrical panels and installing motors for a large industrial facility. The challenge: The facility's power requirements were complex, and the motor installation needed to be precise to ensure efficient operation. The solution: Our team worked closely with the client to understand their specific needs and designed custom electrical panels to meet those requirements. We also conducted thorough quality checks to ensure the motors were installed correctly and functioning optimally. The outcome: The client was thrilled with the result, and the facility's power system has been running smoothly ever since. Lessons learned: - Attention to detail is crucial in electrical work - Collaboration with clients is key to understanding their needs - Thorough quality checks can save time and money in the long run I'm proud of the work our team did on this project, and I'm always looking for new challenges to tackle. Share your own stories of overcoming challenges in the field - I'd love to hear them! #electricaltechnician #industrialElectrical #motorinstallation #electricalpanels"

Why It Happened, Mindset for Every Electrical Technician. Understanding the root cause of issues is more than just a troubleshooting exercise—it’s about preventing future problems, ensuring safety, and improving the overall reliability of the system. Taking the time to dig deeper, rather than applying a quick fix. Here’s what I have learned working as an Electrical Technician at Matrix Group Energy 🔹 Patience and Observation: Take a step back and look at the big picture. What signs were there before the failure? Was it a gradual issue or a sudden shutdown? 🔹 Data and Documentation: Use all available data—previous fault records, maintenance logs, and even minor observations from operators. Some Patterns can emerge that might not be visible at first glance. 🔹 Collaborate with Others: Sometimes, the solution lies outside the electrical domain. Communicating with other departments can shed light on underlying factors that contribute to the problem. 🔹 Never Assume: Even when a solution seems obvious, it’s worth verifying. Small assumptions can lead to big mistakes. For me, it’s not just about restoring power or fixing a circuit. It’s about building a system that’s stronger, safer, and more efficient in the long run. #ElectricalEngineering #Technician #RootCauseAnalysis #ContinuousImprovement #Oil and Gas# HSSE# vacancies, job, job search, education, electrical engineering

Unity’s compact technology has solved well access and time constraint challenges for a leading international operator in a recent wellhead upgrade campaign. This was our first project in #Malaysia and we’re delighted that it was completed smoothly and successfully, delivering significant value to our client. Three wells required instrument flanges to be fitted but the offshore platform had very small well bays with congested workspaces and restricted access. The platform was busy with ongoing operations and strained POB levels, so a rapid turnaround with minimal personnel was necessary. These combined challenges can be difficult to address simultaneously using standard solutions. As the industry’s leading well gateway specialist, with an understanding of current industry challenges, Unity has invested in developing a compact suite of technology designed specifically for such circumstances. Our solutions will repair, upgrade and protect mature assets helping to rapidly restore production. In this project, Unity’s compact technology and a single multi-skilled technician were mobilised to set VR plugs to isolate each wellhead’s annulus outlet, install instrument flanges and annulus valves, then retrieve the plugs to quickly reinstate the well. We were selected to deliver this service due to our reputation for high quality, innovative solutions and our multi-skilled offshore technicians who reliably enable an outstanding efficiency of turnaround. Please take a look at the attached case study or more information about our compact technologies which help with wellhead repair, maintenance, upgrade, production restoration, Phase 0 decom preparation and integrity verification work, please get in touch with our team on enquiries@unitywell.com
