History has a way of leaving us with heavy questions, doesn't it? Take the My Lai massacre, for example. On March 16, 1968, in a small Vietnamese village, something horrific unfolded. U.S. soldiers, sent in with orders they believed were just, entered Sơn Mỹ, thinking they were hunting enemy fighters. But what they found were unarmed civilians-innocent men, women, and children. Imagine the fear in their eyes, the confusion. This wasn't a battlefield; it was a community, a place where families lived, loved, and dreamed of peace. Yet, in a matter of hours, hundreds were killed. It was a massacre that stripped away humanity. These soldiers were young, many just out of their teens, caught in a war that blurred the lines between right and wrong. When the truth of My Lai emerged, it sparked outrage. It forced America to confront its actions and question the morality of a seemingly endless war. So, as we reflect on this tragic event, let's ask ourselves: how do we ensure such atrocities never happen again? It's not just about remembering; it's about learning, holding ourselves accountable, and striving for a world where compassion prevails over violence. History teaches us-let's not ignore its lessons.

Today marks the anniversary of September 11, 2001—a day of tragedy, heroism, and unity that forever shaped the course of history. It's a moment in time we’ll never forget. The images, the emotions, the loss, and the remarkable courage displayed by so many are forever etched in our hearts and minds. As we reflect on this day, we honor the lives lost and those who sacrificed everything to save others. We remember the first responders who ran toward danger, the strangers who became heroes, and the families whose lives were forever altered. This day serves as a reminder that even in the face of unthinkable tragedy, the human spirit can rise. It's a call to never take our freedoms for granted and to always strive for unity, compassion, and resilience. Let us not only remember the events of 9/11 but also carry forward the lessons of strength, empathy, and community. We owe it to those we lost to continue building a future rooted in these values. #NeverForget #911Anniversary #Unity #Resilience #StrengthInAdversity #September11 #neverforget

It’s not about your #crime - it’s about how much you challenge the #establishment. The #criminaljustice system is part of the establishment - it’s defined by the establishment. It doesn’t have some separate absolute #moral existence. If you want to change the definition of #justice, change the establishment.

I hope you're as OK as we can be right now I'm sharing this as a significant number of my friends and colleagues (25) from the nonviolent climate movements are in prison at the moment (as well as Palestine Action takers) for sentences of up to 5 years! https://lnkd.in/evXHvyi5 This wonderful song has been written in solidarity with all truth tellers, and launched as some of them start their legal appeal against the harshness of their punishment. The chorus refrain is devastatingly moving and powerful... "We can burn children alive, but we can't stop cars on the M25"... It would be wonderful if you could watch and share it in solidarity for our connected struggles 🙏 https://lnkd.in/evXHvyi5 And if you're like the majority of the British public and don't agree with such crazy harsh sentences for nonviolent earth protectors & truth tellers then please sign this Avaaz #petition along with thousands of others. Thank you https://bit.ly/3yBs47a

Comfort is your prison. It keeps you fat, anxious, and full of self-doubt. Your ancestors sought comfort for thousands of years to survive and have their basic needs met. But you now live in a world where comfort and excess are everywhere. The desire for comfort that once helped advance humanity is now destroying it. 🔥 Here's how you take back control:
