Pizza Time with Apollo and Gaia! 🍕👨🍳 Today, Apollo, our 4-year-old little chef, helps us make a healthy and delicious pizza. We love cooking together, and the more we do it, the more his confidence and skills grow in the kitchen. This recipe is simple, fun, and packed with fresh, nutritious ingredients. Here’s the recipe: Pizza base free of vegetable oils Tomato sauce 1/2 broccoli Feta cheese Parmesan cheese Parsley Cooking with kids isn’t just fun, it’s an amazing way to teach them life skills. Apollo reminds us that the more kids try and explore, the more confident they become. And the same applies to us adults. How often do we avoid trying new things because we believe we can’t do them, or because someone told us we wouldn’t be able to? What’s something you want to try this week or even right now? 🍕💡 Go ahead and give it a shot! Also, don’t forget: We have a new cohort of KAMBio Live starting on October 24th, NZ time! It’s a 9-week program where you'll learn how to eat, sleep, move, and think in a way that improves your quality of life and helps reverse medical conditions. Get ready to feel better than ever and take control of your health! Visit our website at www.konciencia.me for more information. Comfort food. Was reading a post this a.m. A friend posted about comfort food and got me thinking. What's comfort food? It means different to different people and definitely different seasons in one life. Comfort food might be something cooked by mom or a grandmother. Could be a friend who cooked a meal for you when you are down and out. What's important is that our comfort meal brings just that to us. Comfort, like a warm hug on a cold winter night. Feeling of love and all those fuzzy feeling we get and are reminded off when we eat it. My comfort food for today is a bit different. It's in the preparation. I find it comforting to slice in the the wholesome loaf I made earlier. To cut the cold cut meat and some cheeses to be shared. I find that making Matcha the Japanese way brings a comforting calm to my afternoon as I share my tea time meal with my husband who is tippy tapping away at his keyboard. Void of stress, the joy of preparing something for a loved one. Is my comfort food for the day. What comforts you? Do you have a special comfort food? Do are you like me, taking comfort in the doing? #stressmanagement #comfortfood

*** Cuisine And Healing #Cuisine and #healing have been intertwined for #thousands of years. Many cultures around the world view #food not just as #sustenance, but as medicine. The fundamental idea is that what we #consume can have a profound impact on our overall #health, both in preventing illness and in treating it. Here's a brief overview of how cuisine and healing intersect across different cultures and medicinal philosophies: Cuisine And Healing #Traditional #Chinese Medicine (TCM): In TCM, foods are categorized by their energetic qualities, such as "hot," "cold," "warming," and "#cooling." These are not just about the physical temperature of the food but their effect on the body. For #example, #ginger is #considered warming and is recommended to dispel coldness in the body, while #cucumber is cooling and might be #prescribed for #conditions of #excess heat. Sundays Are For Haiku. I need to be different... I enjoy cooking. It’s one of my most relaxing activities, a 'power up,' if you will. It puts me in a reflective mood. From deciding what dish to prepare to its final serving, there’s a parallel mental exercise going on. I get to ‘work out’ the current happenings in my day or life as I create a Michelin masterpiece (you’d agree if you tasted it). What makes this process so satisfying? It’s all the parts that come together to make up the meal. The key element is the variety of ingredients that go into the dish. Each ingredient is different but necessary to create a specific type of meal. And when you taste it, oh my, it’s like having angels sing in your mouth. You can clearly taste the uniqueness of each component. My point is this: Your uniqueness is essential. Imagine a cooking party that was all sausages. How bland would that be? Look around you; what you call ‘beautiful,’ in whatever form it’s presented, is the careful and thoughtful arrangement of different unique elements in a way that pleases your senses. I’m sure you wouldn’t want to return to black-and-white television. Our differences should be sought to create a rich, flavorful legacy. Our diversity should be a binding force, not a dividing one. I like sausages as much as the next person, but please, add some scrambled eggs. #akrdynamics #haikusundays #Creativewriting #LinkedIn

Fellow Thai snack lovers and newbies (っ˘ڡ˘ς) Here's my latest blog post on some seriously delicious snacks from Thailand! As Australian chef David Thompson said: Thai food is "about the juggling of disparate elements to create a harmonious finish. Like a complex musical chord it's got to have a smooth surface but it doesn't matter what's happening underneath. Simplicity isn't the dictum here, at all." There's nothing simple about Thai food. And I'm still waking up in cold sweats dreaming about it (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`) Here's a first look at my article 👇
