A few months back, one of our B2B SaaS clients added our embedded integrations directly into their app, making it super easy for their customers to connect with other tools. Now, mission-critical CRM integrations run smoothly under the hood of the client’s product, and their customers no longer have to rely solely on Zapier. Today, we received very heartwarming feedback from that SaaS client: "Our customers say that these new Albato integrations are easy to set up. They love how streamlined and fast they work. Leads are transferred instantly. With Zapier, the setup process was longer, as they would need to leave our app, create a Zapier account, etc. Also, our customers love your detailed reporting, such as real-time reports of what happened to the data, and which fields are being transferred; plus, if there’s an error, you can quickly pinpoint where the error is coming from." I’m always on cloud nine when I hear that Albato Embedded helps SaaS products unlock more value for their customers. I look forward to more long-lasting partnerships and success stories!

The B2B SaaS model began to take shape in the 1990s, when the internet became more widely accessible. Salesforce is credited with pioneering the B2B SaaS model with its CRM launched in 1999. Over the years, B2B SaaS pricing models have undergone significant transformations, evolving from the traditional subscription models to more complex frameworks. Every decade has led to further evolution in how we charge our customers: 1999/ 2000s : Subscription- based Pricing Model (Salesforce) mid-2010s : Usage-based Pricing Model (Twilio, AWS) mid-2020s : Outcome-based Pricing Model (explored by cos. like Medallia) Future : Dynamic/ Hybrid Pricing Model SaaS has always put more power in the hands of the customer & as we move forward, the same trend continues. Today customers are not just satisfied with the potential or the promise - they are looking for outcomes & ROI on their investments. What does this mean for Customer Success? It is more critical than ever. Gone are the days where a sale meant you will breakeven & earn revenue from the customer just because they signed the contract. Now it hinges totally on your product performance, the fulfillment of the promise made at sale by the customer success teams is what will get you the money in the bank & finally to that break-even. For organizations that still believe it is a subscription & a sale is enough, having a strong sales motion is enough, just promising is enough, their shiny bunch of features is enough, the high potential is enough - well they are in for an ugly surprise. The B2B SaaS customers are now focusing on Outcomes & reality; hopes & dreams are not enough.
